Mezze Bistro + Bar

fantastic food and attentive service.  great for a special occasion!

This was a perfect evening and a perfect meal.  The Williamstown Theatre Festival is in full swing, so I wasn't sure I could get until after the theatre crowd had left.  The person who answered the phone first wanted to know if I was going out to see a show - and when I said I wasn't she got us in just 15 minutes later than I originally asked.  Too late for us to make the curtain, but just fine for a couple who was just looking for a great, relaxing dinner.

And dinner was great.  The wait staff was VERY attentive, polite and knowledgeable.  We started off with a delicious bowl of popcorn infused with truffle oil.  My wife had a cold parsnip soup she raved about.  And our waiter directed us to two wonderful dishes:  I had a perfectly roasted chicken breast with mushrooms, kale and farro, and my wife had a pasta dish that she loved.

We had driven all day to get to Western Massachusetts, spent the afternoon at MassMoCa - which I highly recommend - and our dinner at Mezze was the perfect ending to the day.  I highly recommend this restaurant.

So good! This little house on a hill in the middle of the Berkshires was a big surprise! The ambiance was fabulous and cozy (not at all what i expected from what this place looks like on the outside). Great, creative menu, and not excessively expensive.  Beautiful presentation of the food and good cocktails! The only thing that was off was that we felt a little rushed to order our mains, when we wanted to wait for our app, then order. And when the bill came the price of the veal that was listed on the menu was not the same as on the bill (somehow my fiance noticed  it was $10 more on the bill!), we asked the waitress to check and she easily fixed it. Overall a great experience, such delish food, I would 100% recomend! Just keep an eye on your bill ;)
