Midtown Beer Company

Great local gem! We decided to give this a try to hook up with an old friend that lives and works down by the capitol, and had a great time.

Their beer selection is vast, though a bit IPA-heavy for the moment, with all Michigan craft beers. They serve peanuts-in-the-shell as a complimentary appetizer, which is a great accompaniment for craft beer. Finally, the menu was vast and seemed well thought-out and prepared. We had a salad, a burger and a chicken sandwich and all were quite good.

It used to be the Michigan Brewing Company tasting room, but with the demise of the parent brewery they had to re-brand and adapt. I hope this place does well, it seems to be off to a strong start in its new model.
