Mike's Place

Great little spot in the middle of downtown Marshall. It's a brightly lit dive bar. The bartenders were friendly, the space was immaculately clean (especially the cooking area), they have a great selection of beers - bottled, draught and microbrews.

The food is your typical bar food, but it's well done. They also let you phone your order in. They must do a fair amount of carryout food business, because we saw quite a few in the short time we were there.

There is a pool table and dart board for those interested. The crowd was diverse in age, but definitely all locals/regulars since a lot of them seemed to know each other and the bartenders.

Would definitely stop back in here if I ever find myself in Marshall again.
