Walking down the street after dinner at Olivers and looked in the window at this place and gave up going home because we had to go in! There are tons of animal hanging from the wall and on display. Â The walls are branded with all the local cattle prods. Â The bartender (super sweet) gave us a brochure of the bar that identified all the animals on the wall, provided the history of the 100 year old bar, and talked about past bar characters. Â I don't know why we singled us out for this but maybe it was the same reason 6 people said to us (three wearing cowboy hats, all denim, and big belt buckles) "so you girls must not be from around here" (with accent). Â I also think my wearing of a cardigan and my friend wearing trademark New York all black might have been a dead give away. Â
We just enjoyed a drink and some great company and the best experience of Wyoming we could have hoped for. Â We were saddened to leave but just too tired after all the travel and had a big meeting the next day. Â Everyone was so extremely pleasant to us noticeable outsiders and we had a blast!
Awesome bar.
I love the Mint Bar. I lived in Sheridan for a couple months about a year ago, & the Mint is definitely one of the places I frequented. On a cross-country road trip through that way just this winter, I even changed my plans & stayed a night in Sheridan just so I could get my mint on ;)
