  Where does one go after a day on the river?

  Conveniently located on the corner of Main Street/Hwy 19, this is a favorite spot for some good BBQ.  There are two locations and this one is my favorite of the two.  The wait staff is extremely nice and the atmosphere is that of a country life.  Their menu has a lot to offer and many options.  My favorite is the beef brisket and their french fries.  They offer a BBQ buffet as well as a salad bar option.
  
  Be sure to grab a chocolate chip cookie on your way out and I guarantee you'll be back for more!

  Have never been to the original location, but we landed at the South version after a float trip on the Meramac River. Nice patio outside on the main street in Steelville that let's you see everyone who is riding through. Had the pulled pork and ribs, both were better than decent. Ribs had a dry rub and weren't sauced. Pork was also smoked and tender without too much fat. 4-5 different varieties of sauce on the table, my favorite was the Honey BBQ. Friendly service, if you're in Steelville, don't miss it.
