I ordered a entree there, called the Sicily steak. It said it steak and long hot peppers over a bed of greens. Sounds delicious right? What I got was a bowl of tough shredded steak strips and greens chopped into half inch pieces all mixed together and had the consistency of stew. It looked like slop and all it  tasted like was overwhelming garlic.
Review Source:I met up with some friends at Mohawk Station for lunch while I was in the area. Â Mohawk Station has a train station theme, with plenty of artifacts from the railroad. Â Mohawk Station has a bar along with a dining area, and we were there for the food. Â
My friends had a chicken caesar salad and an eggplant parmesan entree, while I had a prime rib sandwich with melted provolone cheese, which was one of the specials that day. Â I don't get to have anything with prime rib that often, so it was certainly a treat for me. Â I enjoyed my meal, which was of a reasonable sized portion, and while the service was good, the overall experience was average.
Decidedly mediocre. Possibly the smallest portion of broiled shrimp I've ever been served, and scorched to within an inch of its non-life. Bottled dressing and store-bought croutons on iceberg lettuce salads. "Butter" and sour cream for the bakers arrived in those individual sized plastic tubs. Mmm. Not! At least there is Saranac on tap.
