Decent food in an otherwise empty area. Pella, IA is not known for its cusine or its atmosphere but Monarchs is solid on all fronts. Coming from NYC here for business might have have meant the bar was set a bit higher, but they do a decent job on all fronts. The staff is friendly and willing, however it's just not a happening hot spot, but definitely solid for the area its in.
