Moonshine Gulch Saloon

Loved this place! So rustic (in a very cool way), ice cold beer, food was okay but the atmosphere was fantastic. Spent a couple enjoyable hours sitting on the front porch enjoying the people.

A must stop!

We stopped here road trippin through the hills and it is a pretty cool lil joint.  Wood burning stove.  Anything and everything stapled to the ceiling and they had a great black and white dog that loves to play with the patrons.  He will literally grab a log from the firewood stack for you to play fetch with him or he will jump about 4 feet in the air to bounce his nose off a volleyball hanging.  What a great lil pup.  I also had my puppy with me and they allowed him to come in a sit while we had a beer.

We all had a quick bite to eat.  Burgers and such. Tasty.

Anyway, it just looks soooooo hillbilly that you can't help but enjoy it.

I almost feel bad putting this place on the internet "map." It's so cool, I want to keep it for myself for fear too many tourists will visit it. This place brings new meaning to "dive"...even for me. My family were the online non-locals in the bar and boy did we stand out. We walked in the bar to an amazing bluegrass band playing. The bar was packed yet the owner still went out of her way to pull in a table and chairs from the patio so we could sit while watching the band. Great beer; so-so food, but nonetheless one of the best vacation experiences I've ever had.
