I have visited MFW a few times and I have never been disapointed! Â The property is breath taking. Â It's a bit of a hike up there, but sooooo worth it. Â The wines are wonderful, and it's fun to bring home wines you cant buy in a store! Â You can bring a picnic or they will arrange one for you! Â They also have many summer concerts and is now a popular wine country wedding site. Â The Moore family is amazing, so friendly and welcoming. Â I HIGHLY reccommend visiting the winery, it is one that CANNOT BE MISSED!!!
Review Source:As a long-time vintner in the Napa Valley wine industry - I often feel like I don't have (or don't take) the opportunity to visit my neighboring wine country towns & appellations to enjoy all they have to offer. Â My experience this past weekend at Moore Family Winery in Kelseyville, was phenomenal overall. Â If your "thing" is wine, then I recommend that you go taste for yourself - as I'd venture to bet that you will be happy you did! Â The staff, members of the Moore family (and their friends) left myself & my group of 4 feeling as though we were a pleasant part of their day and in no way, pressured us to purchase wines. Â Views from their family estate are absolutely stunning. Â Moore Family Winery is, without a doubt, a stop on your wine-tasting map that is a must.
Review Source:This is by far the best winery in the region. The wine, staff and views are second to none. You must stop by on your way through Lake County. I went to one of their concerts they have and couldn't have had asked for a better time. The music was great as well as the food. Last time I was there they had just installed boccie ball courts. The Moore's have this place set up so everyone in your family will have a great time. And don't forget "When your glass is empty... get some Moore!".
Review Source:Steve Moore and his family first opened this spot to the public in 2007, and the place has grown more beautiful and welcoming ever since. They are growing Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes on the slopes of the Red Hills area of Lake County, and make delicious, fruit-forward wines. Their offering has been expanding with each new release.
The venue is stunning: a beautiful view of the Mayacamas Mountains, and organically-grown vineyards surrounded by pine trees. Visitors can also explore the caves dug by Steve for the winery operations. The Moores are extremely friendly people that always make us feel at home.
