Comfortable setting--tastefully furnished yet not stuffy. Dress up or dress down; it matters not.
Pleasant and personable staff.
Amazing food. Oh. My. God. The Food.
My dinner companion had a rum & Diet to start his evening, and WOW! I could smell the rum from the glass even before it was set down. To quote: "I don't think there's any soda in this thing." LOL.
We shared a Tart Flambe to whet our appetites. HOLY CRAP. Your senses will be arrested by the delicate yet robust combination of bacon, goat's milk cheese and creme fraiche. I think we destroyed the entire plate in under three minutes.
The rave Yelp reviews of Mor Mor's Alaskan Halibut fish & chips are legit and justified. For serious. Perfectly crispy and crunchy exterior encasing the freshest fish. The homemade coleslaw and tartar sauce are superb.
Am I sorry for not being more elaborate in this review? Nope. Just go already.
This is Kitsap's best kept secret. Â And I'm letting you in on it. Â The food is made with local products by an imaginative, young, local chef, and his wife. Â The service is down to earth friendliness. Â Ask them to have a wine paired, or even better a gin or bourbon, and watch their eyes light up. Â The lobster ravs are wonderful, the gravy served with the tender deep fried chicken is something you might find you crave, the salmon is wonderful. Â But the real treat is Friday Night Flight school where John serves what he wants in pairing with Dorean the sommelier's selections. It is tasty and such a good bargain.
