Mountain Surf Seafood

Yummy seafood! I was visiting my mom in Galax and I asked her if there was anywhere around to eat seafood. She said we could run across the border to NC to Mountain Surf. So off we went. It's a destination. You'd never just come across this place, but I'm so glad my mom suggested it. We had flounder, catfish, shrimp scampi and clam strips between the 4 of us. The fried fish was delicately fried and not greasy at all. The lemon pepper catfish was my favorite for the great taste. The shrimp scampi was beautifully presented and the shrimp were a good size and not rubbery at all. We all loved the hushpuppies. They were like funnel cake shaped not balls of puppies. They were also fried to perfection and not greasy. There's other options if you don't like seafood, but honestly I didn't look at that menu at all because I knew I wanted seafood. I can't wait to eat here again on my next visit to Galax.
