If you are going to Napa this is a definite must! Great Wine Bar with a very chill and friendly Vibe! What more could you ask for, Wine & Chocolate. "Don" who served the wife and I was super fabulous, very personable, knowledgeable, and gave us great recommendation on wine. Love the wines here , we ended up buying 4 bottles. We did the chocolate and wine pairing and then we each had a glass of wine. The Red Wine Blend and the Chief's Blend are simply delightful wines and very inexpensive; $15 bucks a bottle is awesome for wines in Napa. We will definitely be back the next time we are Napa. Nice wine down to the end of our day after we did the Napa Train ride. I wish this place was in Silver Lake.
Thank you Don for making the experience that much more awesome!
The Afano's...
During a recent trip to Napa, the husband and I had some time to kill and as fellow yelpers suggested, we headed to Napa Toffee Company. Since I had looked at the reviews, we both got the chocolate wine tasting. You get three different wines paired with house made truffles (like other reviews explained), but two wines are from the same winery.
The wine and chocolate are both great, but the best part of the experience was the owner, Mike, who went out of his way to welcome us. He drank right along with us and was genuinely interested in why were in Napa, where we were from, etc. When he found out it was our first trip, he gave us great advice on what to do around napa, which places to eat (like Bounty Hunter BBQ and Wine), and which wineries to visit (and which to skip).
When we showed interest in other wines outside of the tasting, he sampled those for us, too including his own Pinot Noir and a late harvest muscat. His Pinot was good, a nice dinner wine -- very easy to drink. I had already told him we wanted a bottle of the late harvest (because I'm obsessed with muscat), but he offered us a sample anyway to make sure we liked it. He already knew he had the sale, and still poured me a glass. He also gave us a sample of the dark chocolate toffee (which they serve from the freezer) which was delicious...probably better than the chocolate. We ended up leaving with his Pinot (it was nice to be able to support his new venture), the late harvest, milk chocolate toffee, and dark chocolate toffee. He also threw in a bag of the chocolate coffered toffee nuts. With the two tastings and our purchases, it was just over $100. The tastings themselves were $15 each.
It was one of our favorite experiences in Napa and I definitely recommend it!
I was visiting the Bay Area for a few days and found this place on yelp. It was located in a newer part of the Napa area from what I understand. Cute and quaint, I highly recommend stopping by! The associate working there was extremely friendly and helpful
We did the chocolate and wine pair tasting and the chocolates were amazing. The wife of the owner came up with the recipes herself with no previous culinary experience! The toffee is also hand made and delicious. I walked out with a bag of toffee and two bags of the chocolate covered blueberries (those are dangerously yummy)
There was also a side espresso bar and one of the associates said they are working on a beer and chocolate pair tasting! Must visit if you like/love chocolate or if you just want some good wine and coffee.
Enjoyed the atmosphere at this place. The owner, Mike Beatty was really down-to-earth. He allowed me and my husband to share one serving of the chocolate and wine pairing tasting. We were able to both share the truffles paired with there different wines. Easy to get to in down-town Napa with plenty of street parking. I would highly recommend this place. They carry small label boutique wines and they even have their own wine label called danitri now.
Review Source:We had some time to kill between lunch and dinner and decided to look for a coffee shop and somehow my husband found this place on yelp. The place is small, but quaint and the chocolate (the owners make themselves) is amazing! We did the wine and chocolate pairing and it was great. Each wine was good and the pairing was really delicious. The owner is a really laid back kinda guy (he drank right along with us!) and really nice to chat with. Definitely will return on our next venture to the downtown Napa area.
Review Source:The Chocolate and Wine pairing is excellent, as everyone says!
Visiting with Mike, the owner, was one of the highlights of the visit. In addition to being introduced to some local wines we may not have ever had the opportunity to try, Mike took the time to give us some insight into the local community. It was a whole different perspective on Napa!
If I lived in Napa, I'd visit NVTC regularly. In addition to some good local wines, they have some excellent microbrews on tap. Next time, I think I'll try the beer and toffee pairing!
Cute little tasting room in downtown Napa. Â Wines were good and come from small wineries and yummy homemade toffees.
Probably the only tasting place where none wine drinkers can grab a decent beer. Â They also have a little espresso bar if you'd rather have that. Â What's not to love?
My girlfriend and I stopped by this place on a trip to Napa over Spring Break and tried the Chocolate/Wine Pairing. Mike, the owner, was extremely nice and accommodating. He mentioned that they just opened sometime last year, and that his wife makes all of the truffles by hand- unfortunately he wouldn't tell me how. The Chocolate/Wine Tasting was AWESOME, especially the handmade truffles. Unfortunately they don't sell any of their truffles just yet, but Mike said that it would be available soon. Pick up a box of their Toffee also! It's delicious!
I'll be returning the next time we head up to Napa :)
Props to Mike's wife for making the truffles BY HAND! I can honestly say they have the best chocolate truffles here! Too bad they don't sell them in boxes yet.
My boyfriend and I both had the chocolate and wine tasting. Everything was really good! Mike was really friendly and informative. He found out that I like blueberries and gave me a free sample of the chocolate covered blueberries. They were SO good. We ended up getting a bag of those, the dark chocolate covered almonds, and a package of the toffee.
Got home and tried the toffee. The toffee is OMGAWESOME.
My husband and I were passing by this place while looking for a tasting room. We both decided to stop in because we like wine and toffee. The town was dead because of the time of year so it was nice to be here with just the owner. She was wonderful. We tried one traditional tasting and one chocolate tasting. The wines were exceptional and also rare, which is a plus. The owner was wonderful, she told us of places to try in the area (which is great since we have never been to Napa before). It was nice to get advice from a local. I would definitely recommend this place for the Cab Sauv and the toffee.
Review Source:While looking for some places in Napa to visit on our trip, I saw that Napa Toffee was highly recommended and right next door to my hotel. Â Man am I glad I listened to you Yelpers!
After checking out of my hotel, I ran over to the store expecting to only get some toffee (which is amazing, by the way). Â Well, I also wound up buying some fennel pollen shortbread cookies (yum) and I even got some treats for my dog. Â I thought that was going to be it and I was going to leave, but my husband started saying I should do the chocolate and wine tasting. Â But it's 11 in the morning, I said. Â I didn't want to look like some kind of alcoholic. Â You're in Napa, he said. Â Where else could you get away with drinking wine at 11 am? Â
Ok, ok. Â You twisted my arm.
The chocolate and wine tasting? Â An absolute must. Â $15 to try wine from three different wineries paired with these crazy amazing chocolates from Kollar Chocolates. Â Napa Toffee sells several bottles of wine including the ones from the tasting. Â Unfortunately, they don't sell the chocolate. Â I was heartbroken.
The chocolates and wine are fantastic. Â I highly recommend stopping by the store to do the tasting, and of course, get some toffee.
My girlfriend was recommened we try out Napa Valley Toffee Company, they offer wine tasting as well as toffee and chocolate tastings. Â When we arrived we received a warm and friendly greeting from Don.
Our first tasting, Don introuduce us was the chocolate covered blueberries. I was a little hesitate at first because I am not to much a fan of blueberries. Once I tried it, Â I was in shock on how awesome they were. Â Our next tasting was the chocolate covered toffee almonds. OMG are they super duper GOOD! Â I am a big coffee drinker and Don recommened we try the chocolate covered coffee beans. One word to describe is Out Of This World! Last but not least the dark chocolate toffee. No other toffee's out there can top the Napa Valley Toffee Co.
I will definetaley be back soon :)
Went to this awesome little spot in downtown Napa earlier today and had to come home and write a review because it was SO GOOD! Â We are from wine country and can honestly say this is a treasure for locals and tourists alike. Â Napa Valley Toffee Co. not only has toffee (dark and milk chocolate) and other chocolate goodies, but they have a bar where you can enjoy wine or beer tastings, and even tea or coffee!
All the wines are local wines, from smaller wineries. Â The teas are also from NorCal (Santa Cruz) and the three beers on tap were all west-coast beers (21st Amendment, Red Tail Ale and Pyramid Hefeweizen). Â
Don is every bit the gentleman  and knows all about the wines they serve, and can suggest heavenly pairings.  He really made this a great experience for all of us, as he is so friendly and fun to talk to.
A word of caution: the blueberries with milk chocolate are HIGHLY addictive, and go great with the Vino d'Angelo Zin or the Rescue Red.
Didn't get an opportunity to try the coffee or cappuccino, but I needed to save something to try so that I can plan another trip to this great place :) Â Great value for your money, especially for Napa. Prices were certainly within reach. Highly recommended and can't wait to go back!
Napa Valley Toffee Company is a must visit for local and tourists alike. I got to go for the first time tonight and had a lovely time. Don, the server, is warm and welcome and the atmosphere is comforting. The toffee available is completely delicious. There are no special flavors - just dark and milk chocolate, but they are mouthwatering and buttery.
Definitely go here for the chocolate wine flight. This is the only place in Napa that really does chocolate pairing right. Delicious from start to finish.
I love the dark chocolate toffee when stored in the freezer! It is actually the best toffee I've ever had and I'm surprised that it was actually pretty affordable.
Come on in and try it for yourself if you are around the neighborhood. Looks like a great place to have a nice chat over beer, wine or coffee!!!
We stopped in this great little place on a whim. Â Coffee was fresh and there was a nice selection of teas. We didn't taste any of the wines but it looked like they had some really good bottles and we were told that the wine comes from smaller producers (most probably without a tasting room) so this place would be the perfect opportunity to sample wines you won't find anywhere else. Â Above all, the toffee is awesome! Â The owners' wife makes it and a word of caution - once you taste it you won't be able to stop. Â The best part though was the excellent service and conversation we had with the gentleman running the show.
Review Source:I bought this offer on groupon and upon arrival to downtown Napa my boyfriend & I were very pleased.  The wine tasting room was very inviting so we were surprised it was empty & we didn't have to wait. The owner Mike  helped us with our tasting that consisted of 2 whites 3 reds. He was personable, helpful & also offered us some fresh toffee. My boyfriend was pleased that they also had a beer tasting that included an IPA as he is a beer lover. We purchased a bottle of wine & toffee & we will be back when we visit Napa again.
Review Source:My girl and I bought a groupon for this place.. felt it was under priced as we had one of the best Napa experience here. The owner Mike was very kind and helpful. He was kind enough to sit down with us and tell us more about the wines we were tasting. He  suggested where and what to visit since we were Napa virgins. The toffee was very delicious as well.
Review Source:I bought a groupon just before our Napa getaway this weekend. Â I didn't know how new this place is until I visited their website and became a fan on Facebook!
When we first arrived it was packed! Â We decided to wander around for a bit to let the crowd die down. Â I'm glad we did, because we got to have a great conversation with the guy doing the pouring - I just completely blanked out on his name. Â Nice guy though. Â Retired cop, managing the place for his friend.
The tasting covered 4 wines - 2 white, 2 red. Â All were very drinkable, and it was hard narrowing our choice to 1 bottle for purchase. Â We also picked up some toffee and jam.
They recently added in an espresso machine, but we didn't have the pleasure of trying the coffee. Â AND if wine isn't your thing, they have 3 beers on tap that you can sample as well.
Cute place, nice people. Â I'd definitely come back again.
