Mediocre, overpriced food. Great presentation, decent service. Best part of my meal was the ceasar salad, and my son's mac & cheese. Oldest son said the alfredo was ok, but bland (I agreed). Wife's fish & chips was ok, fish was "meaty".
I may come back for the bar, or for dessert, but not a family meal.
Good place to go and relax at the bar for a couple of beers.
We have been eating here for a couple years and always liked the food and the service.....until now. Â We went here for dinner recently with some friends and the meal and service were both terrible. Â Our favorite dish on the menu was pulled pork and they no longer serve it. Â First, we were seated right away but took a long time for our waiter to appear. Â I ordered a caesar salad and a steak tips appetizer and an order of garlic bread. Â It took forever to be served. Â We had to finally ask for our garlic bread. Â The salad was just okay...soggy with too much dressing. Â The garlic bread was also just okay, nothing special and would not order again. Â The steak tips were so salty there were literally inedible. Â The friends we were with ordered them too and theirs was also WAY too salty. Â Not just a little salty but like the cook had made a huge mistake and dumped the salt in. Â At the end of our meal the waiter noticed I hadn't eaten my steak tops and asked if I wanted a box. Â I said no because they were too salty to eat. Â He just said "Oh, sorry." and left it at that. Â He couldn't have cared less.
It's too bad this place has gone downhill because we used to like dining here but definitely won't go back.
Have been eating here a lot lately and have been really pleased with the food and service. Â I have two young kids so we take out a lot. Â Quality and taste have not been an issue with ordering to go and other than busy weekend nights the service is very prompt. Â Soups have been great and cheap for the winter time lately too!
Review Source:I've been a few times in the few years it's been open & have heard that yes, they are under new mgmt. Â However, you should know they close between the hours of 2-4, or something like that. Â I've been here for both the bar scene, and that wasnt bad. Â It's much more fun to drink here in the summertime, fyi. Â They have an outdoor pation off to the side, and after work the bar area fills up. Â It's a slightly older drinking crowd sometimes (i've ran into the big cheese of my work once...not ok, :P) - actually most of the time i have been here. Â
For food, it's always been alright. Â My beef here with Nashville's is that I think they're lunch menu is crappy. Â I only come here to eat when my co-workers want to meet up for lunch. Â What is good about Nashville's is that they will fax over their menu to your work & take lunch orders ahead of time. Â When we got there, all we had to do was order drinks & our food came out not too long afterword. Â I didnt want something greasy or too heavy, so I had a chicken ceasar salad. Â How can you mess that up? It wasnt bad, but it wasnt good either. Yea, i'm still mystified by that too! Â In the past, i've had the escargot & a burger. Â Oh, the appetizers arent that great. Â The potato skins were meh, the calamari sucked (the tartar sauce was store bought or something, ugh) & the nachos were a-ok. Â
I've never been that impressed with lunch, so i never have bothered to make it for dinner. But i will say their dinner menu actually doesnt look all that bad; i may give them another shot for dinner. Â The customer service that we had was pretty good too - she seemed busy, but still made sure to check up on us.
I've never had a bag experience here, never been wow'd by anything either. Service is usually a little on the slow side but not bad. I've had a variety of things here and everything has been decent. Again, nothing has been fantastic but nothing I've had was bad either. I did get a steak there once which I normally will not have anywhere but a steak house or home. I was prepared to be underwhelmed but it was surprisingly acceptable. Prices are pretty decent. It's one of the better places to go in Hanford. If you want higher quality dining you are going to have to make a drive to Visalia or Fresno.
Review Source:Went here recently on a visit to my parents' house due to the location. Drink prices were good for liquor and it seemed like a decent establishment. Then the food came...
I had sandwich for which I was not at all impressed with. My friend got a sandwich which she also did not finish. Perhaps I should have stuck with BBQ as others have suggested, but not knowing the place at the time, it's unfortunate that I ordered off the "bad" side of the menu, and perhaps it should be excluded altogether.
But if you are looking for a place to put back a few drinks and you're on the North side of Hanford, this is a worthy place with reasonable drink prices.
Okay, after reading all the reviews on here it took my husband and I a LONG time to try this place, and it's within walking distance to our house. Honestly, I guess it either depends on the time of day you go, or y'all are just PMSing when it comes to reviewing the service. We went around 5:30pm for dinner this evening and we had amazing service (our waitress' name was Kylie). She was very sweet, attentive and didn't bother us, yet made sure we had what we needed/wanted. Even the hostess was super nice and let us choose where we'd like to sit because there weren't many people there. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken sandwich. It was alright, the chicken was slightly dryer than I'd like and the chipotle aioli wasn't very flavorful. I also got a side salad and the spring mix was fresh and their ranch is delicious. My husband ordered the Nashville burger and added blue cheese and bacon. He really liked it, but the burger patty was about a half inch smaller in diameter to the bun, which is ridiculous for a place that is supposed to have "great burgers". He still really enjoyed the taste, though. I'd give them a 3.5 because 4 stars says "yay, I'm a fan" and I don't think I'll go back any time soon.
Review Source:Been here twice cuz it's the only place I have found in Hanford that resembles a pub, but both times they have not had something that was listed on the menu and have been extremely slow. Don't go for lunch because even though there is only one other person in the place you won't make it back to work in time!
Review Source:A brutally honest update is in order after this last meal....gees. Â Nashville's is on the downhill slide. Â We ordered burgers to go the other day and were pretty disappointed. Â
To start with, when my husband called in the order, the waitress didn't have the mental capacity to listen to the order, enter it, and then confirm...oh no...one thing at a time...repeat...one thing at a time....no, that's not right...repeat again...
When we got there to pick up the food, no one acknowledged our existence at the front counter for a good 7-8 minutes. Â Had we been there to be seated for dinner, Im pretty sure we would have just walked out. Â Ridiculous. Â There was even a waitress entering an order up at the counter with her back to us when we walked in. Â Watched her enter the order...no wonder they can't get anything right...gees...apparently their waitstaff can't use the system. Â Anyways, like I said, we walked up behind her when we entered, and she input the order and hauled ass...didn't even acknowledge. Â
Paid for the goods, jammed to the house. Â Opened up the burgers...we ordered 2 cheeseburgers, one with bacon, both no onions, pretty simple. Â Neither burger had bacon, one had cheese, and we paid extra for all of it. Â Damn. Â And it didn't stop there. Â The patties were much smaller than before, miserly really, and disappointing. Â The lettuce was wilted on the edges. Â The fries were soggy, even though we were waiting to pick up the order when it was ready. Â
All in all, a real bummer. Â I was really diggin this place.
Very very mediocre.
I ordered the nachos, the chips were stale, the beans on them just weren't very tasty, and the beef was fatty. On top of that, they weren't hot.
My friend got a chicken sandwich, it was just okay. Her fries seemed like they had been sitting under a warmer for a while.
I've been there twice now and had TERRIBLE service both times.
I think we saw our waiter when he took our order - someone else brought our drinks, our food. We needed refills for the most of the time we were there, and there was no one around..... we sat there and waited for someone to appear with our check, and finally had to ask another waitress for it.
I won't be going again.
It's a fun place to go for a night out with friends if you're planning on drinking and that's it! I've given the food 10 chances probably, trying different things occassionally and not once have I been impressed.
The waiters typically suck I always had to get their attention for refills etc. They rarely got them for me on their own.
I haven't been there recently but I hear it's somehow gotten worse. I give it 2 stars because of the bar but even then.. Go next door to Luna. Better atmosphere better bartenders making better drinks
Update for Nashville's Grill...
I went for lunch about a month ago, and the sandwiches/burgers are DELISH! So far, I have had two good lunch experiences, but dinner...Blah!
The chicken sandwich I had was HUGE. The burgers my friends ate were HUGE. The tri tip sandwich my other friend had was HUGE. Plenty of fries to accompany them as well.
I definitely recommend Nashville's for lunch or Happy Hour(still good beer prices).
Cheers!
This is a cool local place worth checking out. Keeping in mind that it is a BAR and grill, it's a bit loud inside and has a mean echo. Definitely not a place you want to go for a quiet talk. But the decor is cool - industrial cowboy - and it's a fun enviornnment.
The food is pretty good. We had the nachos to start though and would not recommend them at all - stale and weird. The pulled pork sandwich and tri tip sandwiches were both GREAT. I recommend paying the $1 to upgrade to sweet potato fries too. They are awesome.
The service was pretty good too. Great beers on tap and a nice bar area.
Food was ok at best and there were flies everywhere. -- the boy's 1st review
The flies were disgusting. Â I'm not sure if I've ever been to a restaurant that was indoors that had so many flies buzzing around. Â They landed on the food, on the straws.. "Can we get a fly swatter, please?" - LOL.
I did like the sweet potato fries...but I wouldn't be willing to go back here for them. Eeks!
PUEWEE, a BBQ joint without Ribs, thank God Elvis was not around to see this! Â Well maybe they are doing us a favor, because the food is dry, over cooked and in need for some changes. Â If you are going to name a restaurant Nashville's Bar & Grill would you think this would be some down home BBQ? Â This is more like what Texas did with Mexican and called it Tex Mex, so I guess you can call this CA-Fusion-BBQ, trust me it does not work! Â
The service was good and so was the fries, but in all fairness we plan to try again but I it will be awhile. Â Hanford is in NEED of quality locally own restaurants, its unfortunate this is not it.
