Not a big fan of their Greek food, but their burgers are pretty passable!

Went on a Saturday morning, sat inside. Nice servers but had trouble getting their attention for coffee which was odd since we were the only ones in the restaurant! Coffee just so-so anyway.

We always enjoyed Nico's. Went there recently with out never expires coupon from http://Restaurant.com. They told us to bad we canceled and won't except it. They knew we were really good customers. We wound up having to get a different coupon as a credit because Nico's wouldn't apologize or make good even though it was just purchased in September and had no expiration date. Have not gone back since.

I love Nico's!!
It's a comfortable place to just go kick back, talk with friends and enjoy good food.
The only draw back is that the more people who find out about it, the harder it will be to get a booth when I go there. Darn! I do wish they had more booths....
Their menu is incredible and they have something for everyone.
An extra pull for me, of course, are the two giant pictures of their Newfoundland dogs!!!
Depending on how crowded it is, it can get a little loud.
Dogs are welcome outside on the patio.

We are regulars at Nico's and love it. Huge, diverse menu, food is always perfect. Arturo's staff is terrific, great outdoor patio, gorgeous afternoon sun spot, dog friendly. Love the booths and lighting.

My wife and I stopped by for some to-go food for dinner. They were pretty quiet, but very friendly. The food was good. We sat at the bar while we waited for our food and the bar tender was attentive as well, drink tasted good. We will return as it is now pretty local to us, convenient, affordable.

I decided to try this place out and ordered the chicken sandwich. $10+ gives you a less than ample serving of chicken breast coupled with poorly prepared condiments (would you give a paying customer the hard rind of a lettuce leaf?? c'mon people -- try a little bit!). The accompanying french fries were completely freezer burned. I won't return here as the quality of the chicken breast was less than that of a fast food establishment and you can easily find a place that is better at half the cost. Although I only tried the chicken sandwich, it is evident from other reviews that this place falls prey to a common theme of failing restaurants -- that is, they have too many things on the menu and a result, they try to cut corners by not using freshly prepared foods (which actually would cost them the same or less than frozen foods). Several other alternatives in the area and unless they revamp their menu and general approach, I wouldn't bother with this place.

I've been to Nico's about a dozen times and read both the good and bad reviews as well. It's a decent place for being located in an area not known for exceptional restaurants (Agoura Hills, Oak Park). While the gyros can probably be fresher, the Middle Eastern salads and dips are fantastic. And they also have a good breakfast selection. Service is not 5-stars, but not bad and never with an attitude.

I agree with a few other posters that the food is a bit pricy for what it is, but Nico's almost always has coupons available on http://restaurant.com, so I stock up when the $10 certs are on sale for 2 bucks.

2 stars for "being in the neighborhood"

Other than that Nico's menu has no directions what so ever. There's about 300 things on the menu, which means for a place thats never busy, they must be serving a ton of stuff that comes from the freezer.

Nico's is in a great location/position to re vamp their menu and start focusing on doing a few great things, rather than trying to be the place that serves a whole bunch of mediocre variety. Bottom line... go to Nicos IF YOU MUST otherwise, eat somewhere that serves a menu full of fresh not frozen items!

I randomly came here to grab a quick lunch... They have a huge variety on their menu so I figured I could find something... It was 4p so the place was quiet with music playing. The man working (seemed like the owner) was very sweet and polite. I am a bit "complicated" when it comes to ordering... so asked to kind of create my own lunch lol... He brought me EXACTLY what I asked for. I was alone and he could tell I was in need of some "me" time but still was attentive and helpful. The food was great, the service was perfect and when the bill came I was VERY surprised how affordable they are.... I enjoyed my lunch very much :)

After returning from a baseball tournament we found this place and really enjoyed it.
The manager Arturo was very friendly and so was the waiter. I had the backed chicken with a side salad and my son had a huge lettuce wrap cheeseburger with fries. It's not the cheapest place but pretty much worth the price. I will definitely go back and I would go out of my way. One for one so far.

This was an excellent little breakfast cafe. I was surprised to walk in and find such a nicely decorated and flavorful ambiance. I had the grape leaves and pita to start--the tzatziki was very flavorful and delicious. The banana/strawberry smoothie was one of the best I have ever had. My main course was a breakfast burrito with egg whites, which was pretty great served with fresh fruit. I love the fact they took the time to make homemade pitas which was a good sign that they truly cared about the food. I will definitely be back.

i loved this place...and i have to say, my husband and i are very picky when it comes to dining out. it is rare that we come out of a restaurant feeling completely satisfied as usually there is at least one thing not quite right.

very nice ambiance...decor was pleasant, lighting, music was not in-your-face overbearing (like most restaurants), nice friendly attentive service. we were both happy with our breakfasts which tasted outstanding.

we will definitely return as regulars. prices were reasonable as well. other reviewers here i noticed are people on tight budgets maybe (?) and this place was nowhere near overpriced. our breakfasts were under $8.00. and we came out feeling very happy with the entire experience for a change!

On a Saturday morning..er well, let's be honest...it was closer to noon, I was trying to think of a place I've never been that had both breakfast all day and bloody mary's. I remembered seeing a cafe (with beer signs in the window) when I was at Leila's last time so I ventured out to Oak Park...

We were originally planning on going to Cafe 14 in Agoura but it was closed (yes, on a Saturday afternoon) and didn't look great anyhow.

We pulled up, walked inside and were greeted promptly and given a booth on the left side. I liked the blue lights on the bar, the options on the menu and the bloody mary wasn't horrible. It was sweeter then I usually like but still drinkable. (A bit on the small side though)

I ordered an omelette with a side of tortillas (I got one super large tortilla), and it was pretty tasty. I enjoy rolling things up and eating them like burritos. Friend got the hashbrowns and he wished he'd ordered the home fries like I had...but to be honest neither were outstanding.
Portions were healthy!

Price-wise, they were about average for the Oak park cafe type of places, which means a little more pricey then you should pay but normal if you know the area.

Service was okay. The waiter was very friendly but seemed slow. The manager came over a couple times, which I enjoy seeing.

If I am in the area again and I am hungry, I'd stop in. If I am to make the trip out to Oak Park just to eat it will likely be Leila's next door to Nico's. I love that place!

We eat here 2-3 times a month. The portion sizes are generous and moderately priced. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The menu has a good variety of food, so this is a great location to visit if you're just not sure what you're hungry for. I loved this place when I lived in the valley and I'm glad to see them in this area too.

I can't say that I have been a big fan of Nico's in the past. However, I joined a good friend for lunch last week and I thought the food was very good. Yes, it's tough to screw up a club sandwich, but my sweat potato fries were very good. The service was good and the restaurant was clean. There were not many people in the restaurant at 1:00pm on a Wednesday. I would go back for lunch soon.

I went for brunch with a friend. Pretty simply - food was eh, service was blah, and the restaurant itself was meh. Yea...that is pretty much it. It was nice to see that the patio allowed dogs outside so that seemed to be nice.

I went to Nico's once after a long morning of running with a friend. He had suggested this place a couple times and we happened to be near by so we decided to head in.

We both got different omelette's with potatoes and some toast. It was very good! There was plenty of food to fill me up after our 13mile run, but not too much to leave me feeling bloated. They have several options for those who are "health conscious" , which is good for me. The only downside to the place was that it was EMPTY! We felt like we were special VIP's or something because we had the entire staff helping us! No one else came in until the very end when we were leaving.

I would go again in a heartbeat. This is not a place to go out to meet people, but a nice quiet place to eat and enjoy a conversation with your friends.

I love this place. Its in a nice area and the food is good. they have a greek foundation and are a greek restaurant but they have every type of food. good sandwiches and i just like this place. early mornings are crowded as all the oak park families stop in with their kids and dogs. If you get in at this time, service is stretched a little thin but still not bad. My wife doesn't like coming here very often because when we lived in oak park we want their almost every weekend.

I have generally liked my food each time I was here. They are a bit over priced but for the area I am not surprised. They have a pretty sizeable menu and offer a wide variety.

Here are some of the things I have had there:
B.E.S.T sandwich - This is a Turkey Bacon, Egg White, Spinach and Tomato sandwich. This was always done right on a wheat bun and pretty low calorie fair.
Turkey Burger - This is a pretty standard turkey burger. No big frills here but it is a good size and filling.
Classic Chicken Caesar - A pretty big salad but nothing special. They don't put a whole lot of dressing on it which is a plus.
Gyro sandwich/Plate - This is a pretty big sandwich and also kinda messy but good flavor. They also have a plate which is good as well.

They can get kinda busy during the day and on weekends during brunch. It is nice to sit outside on the patio but I prefer inside. I am surprised they have lasted this long. Most businesses suffer in that corner and disappear. I'm glad this one hasn't yet.

Businesses in Oak Park really struggle to get off the ground, let alone turn a profit. I really don't know how Nico's cafe has survived this long in Oak Park. I really want Nico's to do well, but I'm sad to say that this is not happening.

I went there to grab a quick meal for dinner. All of the items on the menu were really expensive. I had issues finding anything that sounded good and was under $10. Eventually, I settled for a calamari dish. The calamari was kind of moist and mushy; far from the crisp light texture that I hope for in calamari.

The servers were very nice and helpful. Service was pretty slow, which is hard to justify because there weren't a lot of other people in the restaurant.

I've been to the Nico's in Canoga Park, but the quality at that restaurant is definitely higher that the one at this one.

Nico's is a comfortable, moderately priced restaurant with good, wholesome food. I especially enjoy having breakfast here on the patio where dogs are welcome! I also like the traditional 1930's to 1960's jazz they pipe in. Unfortunately, on Saturday mornings the live music from the farmer's market drowns out the piped in music.

we were appalled when we learned that Nico charges for every tea bag you ask for. At over $2.62 a tea bag, so there are no free refills on tea, you can only get more hot water. In addition, breakfast was barely warm when served.

Nico's is a small-ish sized restaurant in Oak Park (northeast corner of Lindero and Kanan, next door to Starbucks). There is a bar on one side with three flat-screen TVs that always seem to have different sporting events on. There are a handful of booths and several tables set up. There is also cafe seating outside, which is great in nicer weather.

Nico's has a pretty wide variety of basic menu items, which makes it a good place to go if you're not looking for a specialty restaurant (i.e., only Italian, only Chinese, etc.) or a fancy place. They do have a Greek/Mediterranean section on their menu. I've not tried any of those items, but I've heard good feedback from a relative and a friend who did. Their eggs/omelets are good, and they serve breakfast any time. The veggie soup is yummy.

Prices on some items are a bit high for my taste, but then I think every restaurant in California tends toward over-pricing.

Parking is in a shared lot with the other businesses in the plaza. On Saturdays the side lot is used for a community Farmer's Market between 9am and 1pm. I sometimes go to Nico's for breakfast then hit the market.

I just found out that Nico's runs several specials throughout the week, including buy one entree, get the second at 25% Mon-Wed. This place offers a pretty good value. Had the lamb kebab dish and really enjoyed it. It's one of the few places in the Conejo valley that offers Greek food beyond the usual suspects like dolmades, hummus, and gyros (e.g. souvlaki, pastisio, spinach pie, and moussaka). The service was also excellent - prompt and very friendly.

My friend and I are always looking for a place to meet in Oak Park and during the recent rain we wanted something very local. We both had seen Nico's but never been in. Well, we finally decided it was the closest place and we did not feel like pizza, so Nico's it was. I was surprised by the inside. It was very cozy and the menu has a ton of choices. I had a grilled cheese, my friend had a Turkey Burger. The onion rings were delicious, service was decent. We are very glad we have found a place we can meet up at and relax. We did not feel rushed at all, and the booths were very comfy.

This is easily one of my favorite places to eat. I love every single one of the Greek dishes, and the seafood salad. If you love salad this is your place, there are so many great options. Breakfast is good, too, but there is a little bit of a blinding high contrast in the window in the morning light. They always have fantastic meatloaf, can't say enough good things.

Different from chains and they have good turkey burgers. I think it is expensive, the Lamb Rack Sunday special was listed on the web menu at $22, but I was charged $28.95. It was good, but the ambiance at a strip shopping ctr. and interior decor does not support the new pricing. If you don't care about 25% over-charge, it has some interesting food.

I recently tried Nico's for lunch. I just moved to the area and met a friend there. I found sitting outside very nice, the service was friendly and responsive. My greek salad was pretty good and served quickly. It is a pleasure to have a descent restaurant close by to were I live. My only complaint is that the greek olives were not pitted.

My daughter used to be a server at this restaurant. So of course my husband and I would patronize it as much as we could. Unfortunately this was kind of difficult to do since the food was so bad. We ate there 4 different times and tried something different every time trying to find something half way decent. Everything we tried was awful!! We finally decided to forget the food and just have cocktails instead of eating anything. (The cocktails were small and expensive but at least were drinkable). The restaurant and bar always seemed to be understaffed. The management seems oblivious to this issue, the owner is not available and never returns phone calls no matter what the issue may be.....and the rumor is they microwave all of their food!!! Yuck!! No wonder the food was always so bad!! Thank goodness my daughter does not work there any longer. I will definitely be telling all of my friends not to go there. There are to way to many other wonderful restaurants in the area to spend my money at!!

I wasn't too impressed with the food here. It was pricey and didn't live up to the hype I had heard. Even the macaroni and cheese was bland. My toddler hated it.
