Try to be completely honest here, because a lot of the times I feel like these things are only written by friends/employees, or rival businesses.
My gf and I are new to the area. We were looking for some pool tables, because I used to play in a league where we came from, so we wanted to scope out the local places.
I first must say that I am from a larger area, so the small town dive bar scene was very new and off putting to me. The first disappointment was no hard alcohol. The second was a cash only bar. We decided to stay anyways. There were only 5 people total on a sat evening, and two of them worked their, and two of them were us. So you could say it was quiet.
The staff were VERY polite however, and outside of me being a little uneasy to the new divey experience, we were left to drink and play pool unmolested (which is literally more than I can say about our experience playing at Zebras)
All in all I might go back to shoot some pool, and I only rate it a 3 due to the no hard A, and cash only.
Also there was a dog in the bar. It always bothers me when an establishment has a large dog free roaming, but it seemed nice enough, and mostly left me alone :)
Ok cheapest price's for beer and wine. Classic Small town bar, with a juke box, pool table and dart boards. Has regular customers, and family bar atmosphere. they do special events so get on kathy's mail list so you can recieve the invites to BBQ's, pool tourney's, and parties at the bar. It is a bar you go to after work for a few beers, kareoke, and shoot some pool or darts. The bartenders are friendly.
Review Source:I promised the owner, Kathy, that I would go and see her place. Her mom use to own this bar but now normas daughter kathy owns it. It's a local dive bar with its seedy people and regular pool sharks out of a quentin tarantino movie, but enough about me, the people are locals. Its a nice but divey sort of place . Live music ,Good band, classic rock and some new stuff. Kathy BBqs chicken on weekends for her happy hour and its pretty darn good. If you are feeling a little saucy and want to go diving check out Normas. Forgot to mention they serve $4.00 schooners.
Review Source:Standard small-town bar with standard fare. Â Good enough to sit and have a few beers while you did your laundry next door (whilst my washer was on the fritz (er, she went to visit her mother :) ).
Best draw was when it had a shuffleboard years back but *sigh* it is there no more.
At night, don't go in without backup ;)
