THIS PLACE IS NOW AN ICE CREAM SHOP.
Me and my friends drove from Aiea to check this place out. No where on their site does it say it's closed so we rushed to get here before closing. We get here and couldn't find anything. Ended up asking these 2 stoners who were hanging out by the bakery and they told us it closed down.

Hookah Lounge! I'm all about them, I just wish there were more on my island of O'ahu. I had a little trouble finding this place at first, but it's by the bakery. If you're having trouble finding where it is, just call and they'll be happy to give you directions. Open at super random hours. They're a little pricey but  I def love the ambiance of the place. Great place to take a date and its byob.  The lighting is super cute with leds. They have flat screens on the wall, dvds. They charge if you decide to bring alcohol but hey whatever. There's a juke box that  you can play music. The seating is comfy and big, the tables are big enough to hold the hookahs and whatever else you bring. Love the set up of the place. I forget if they have a bathroom or not, sorry. Parking is aight its never super busy so you shouldn't have a problem finding some. Pricing, they're kind of normal I guess. Altogether it costed me $35 or something for an hour session. Hmmm other than that go check it out!

Called, got a voicemail indicating being open Mon thru Sun 5 to 12. Get there on Sunday and some hippie is painting a door. Tells us to come back at 7. We come back at 7, nobody is there. There are about 8 other ppl outside you were turned away.
Lazy quality assurance. No posted store hours on website or business area. Voicemail hours inaccurate.

i had first tried hookah a little over half a year ago, and towards the end of 2011 my best friend and i had been going to the burning tree almost three times a week. enough to be called "regulars" and compared to that caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland. well long story short - burning tree had closed and we were devastated.

I had stopped smoking hookah but one night we just had a CRAVING.
My friend had Googled all around and found this tiny shop in Northshore. Us being townies knew it would be an eventful adventure, since it was already ten and we had to get there by midnight. We figured we'd have enough time to smoke till closing.
When we arrived forty five minutes later, we were greeted by these drunk guys, (i guess they were the "regulars" here?) . The two ladies who worked at the front were extremely nice and helpful. At first we were worried about the price but we paid i think $15 for one hose PLUS she offered us a "house flavor" which was completely FREE for the night (: i think it was blueberry vanilla something? i cant remember the flavor but it wasnt bad at all, and was smooth.

When we went inside to smoke - we were shocked, the atmosphere of the shop was completely different from burning tree. it was amazing! def worth the drive

This place rocks! Pictures on here don't do justice to the dimly lit atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and even hooked us up with a discount for our next visit!  There was a really cool (playlist?) selection of music playing while we smoked and watched a big wave surfing documentary on the tv, which actually suit the mood nicely and gave that authentic north shore vibe. We'll probably be back again next weekend :). Prices are reasonable and it's only five bucks if you want to switch up flavors during your session. Also, you can bring drinks, just keep it minimal, rowdy people will ruin the mood this place is there to provide :p

Good fun! This was my first Hookah lounge experience and I'll definitely be coming back.  I'm not a cigarette smoker and was worried that I'd be hacking or grossed out by the tobacco flavors, but this stuff is pretty tasty! (If you're a tobacco wuss like me I recommend ambrosia, pomberry, and mint.) The staff was friendly, helpful and happy to answer our questions. Nice atmosphere with comfy leather couches, LED flickering candles, jukebox with good selections (the photos here are too brightly lit to do it justice) . . . hmmm all we need is a Karaoke option and maybe some cool colored lights.

BYO beer and wine, and don't even THINK about trying to throw anything extra into that hookah- if you know what I mean. Your ass will be kicked outta there in under 60 seconds. Respect.

What to say about the North Shores FIRST & ONLY Hookah Lounge? First off, its located in the old Oils of Aloha building, next to the Paala Kai shopping Plaza. The check in is off to the right as you walk in, and the large menu is on display for all to see. Once your party chooses a Hookah and Shisha (Flavored Tobacco) you are escorted in to the lounge. At first notice, my eyes are drawn to the colors on the walls, the leather couches, the custom wood tables, and the flooring. Once inside, the staff is eager to point out the A/C, digital jukebox, the SMOKE-EATER that keeps the lounges air clean, and the 40" LCD TV with a Blue ray player. (Bring a movie if you want to watch it)
Upon being seated the server went to work getting the hookah ready for me, and not a few Min's later, emerged with a beautiful wide based single hose hookah filled with Fumari's Ambrosia. (Melon Goodness) To my surprise, when the hookah was placed in front of me, the server actually took the time to show me that the pipe was ready to be enjoyed, removed their mouth piece, reintroduced them self, and then continued on to the next party. While enjoying the atmosphere, music, and staff, there was a steady stream of visitors to the lounge, and what struck me as odd was that there were a few different age groups all mingling in the lounge, enjoying their hookah sessions, and having fun together.
At the end of my session, roughly an hour, I believe that the North Shore Hookah Lounge has not only provided me a comfortable, social atmosphere, but an all around affordable alternative to the BAR SCENE. I was able to walk away with an amazing experience as well as a few new friends!
