One of the employees that helped me seemed drunk...drugged..an older guy.  I do not think I will bring my boat back.

Obexers Market gets better with every season since they overhauled it a few years ago.  The sandwiches, bagels and burritos, etc. are top notch, and you can buy true gourmet items for home cooking without having to drive to Tahoe City.  They even offer beer on tap and have really improved their indoor/outdoor seating area.  Yes, the prices on the market items may be slightly higher, but the convenience is worth it.  Everyone on staff is friendly and helpful.  Extra points for the fountain sodas--hard to find on the West Shore.

I love obexers. Awesome food and great service. Scott behind the counter was great. There's so many stuck up, pretentious people in Tahoe but talking to Scott made me forget about those unfortunates. They have an amazing selection of infused oils and vinegars I wish I could take them all home. I told him how amazed I was that they had pbr on tap and he was nice enough to give me some awesome limited edition pbr posters. If you're up here you should definitely check it out. And hats off to the ladies that made our bomber burritos. Delish. Thanks obexers. Top notch, top notch.

Obexers, Obexers, Obexers!  I love the family feel. I frequent the store, the marina, the entire property and you think everyone is an owner.....probably are. It is so nice to feel the passion it radiates .

Regarding the store,  I agree with most, the breakfast burrito is the best. It sure beats heading to Save Mart. If they have it, I will choose them everyday to the chain stores. Don't change the great service and great food. How about a PBR on tap?  Another great offering.

Stopped in at this yummy spot to get sandwiches before a hike in the mountains.  Delicious BLAT sammie (that's bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado for those not in the know)...add to that, friendly staff, great service and cool atmosphere.  All of the sandwiches looked really good and they are made fresh once you order.  They also have a choose-your-own toppings option which is a nice touch.  Top it off with a nice selection of local beers -- I'm in.

Wonderful store - excellent, friendly, knowlegable staff. Chris, the wine and craft beer guru, will happily answer all your questions. Great deli with a surprising selection of good craft beer on tap!

Great breakfast burritos.  Incredible bacon on BLAT (aka BLTA).  They have Hava Chips too!!  Take it down to the water and savor... ;-)  Yvette-

Best sandwiches on the lake since Grog & Grist closed in Incline. They also have great t-shirts and plenty of supplies for the adventure at hand.

Love the breakfast burritos with crispy maple syrup bacon. I'm a local and go to Obexer's for a special weekend morning treat. The have good real milk for the coffee. I've heard the sandwiches are great too- sounds good to stop they before day on lake or as resort-alternative fresh lunch  during a Homewood day. They usually have pbr on sale too and a decent wine selection.

I promised these guys i would wear bikini bottoms and heels next time I was in the store.  They have hard liquor.  Booze is quite fun for paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming with your dog, and in general most moments, not limited too and possibly also including hot tubbing, dinner, after dinner, on decks, during beautiful hikes at eagle rock, or just sitting with your dog.

Remember this... these clerks are the friendliest, most affable chaps.  It's a good place to be. Ahh.. to carry the west shore in my pocket.

sandwiches not good. Never have the spreads they recommend for sandwiches but worse is the sandwich is always WET - I don't know how but it's like they make it on a soaking wet cutting board.  Went there 3 days in a row thinking every time was an off day and it was the same every day - and every day 2-3 sandwiches and everyone said the same thing. Go to PDQ down the way for a good sandwich.

Awesome little store owned by chill locals, new owners than before by the way.  Everyone that works there is cool and they carry all kinds of healthy food and fresh produce.  The deli has AMAZING breakfast burritos, just had a Pier Attendant burrito and mmmmm!  The stuff dreams are made of.  Awesome sandos too.  The beer selection is damn good as well.

Excellent find amongst a bunch of crappy liquor stores ... decent choice in wine & beer etc, nice sandwich counter and cafe area to sit.

Microbrew heaven in the West side of Tahoe!  What a pleasant surprise to see a prime and diverse selection of fine brews.  After all, gots to stock up the cabin somehow.  From Stone to Russian River to Bear Republic...they had it.  And the guys I spoke to were super friendly and open to chat.  A must stop for me in the area from now on.  Other things beyond brew:  clean and organized place, quality products sold throughout store, good indoor seating area, big line for the sandwiches (smelled sooo good too).

If you are spending a day on the slopes via Homewood, use your lunch hour to eat here.  It is literally across the street from the Homewood parking lot.  Their sandwiches are ridiculously good and very unique.  Try the brown sugar peppered bacon and taste the flavor of a homely, Tahoe, secret recipe.  Great beer selection and various chips to top off your meal.

But before you wander back to the mountain, finish your sandwich on the banks of Lake Tahoe via the hidden tree-tied chair lift behind the building.  "Bullet proof!"

Visited them this past summer while travelling through the Tahoe area. Great store!

They make fresh tasting sandwiches and the cashiers are very cheerful and helpful.

Great place to get a sandwich. Very helpful and friendly staff.  Nice swing down on the lake in back of the store, very restful ambience to enjoy the meal.  If you want a local feel with quick quality eats this can't be beat.

The renovations and changes they have made to the general store are great!  The market has a great selection of everything you might need or want (including organic baby food and vacation-size condiments perfect if you are staying in a cabin).  The staff is friendly and helpful.  We had delicious, big sandwiches from the deli that were perfect to take to the beach (they also have a cute eating area if you prefer to eat there).  Yum!  I wish I had one of those sandwiches now!  We will definitely make this market our stopping ground whenever we are in Tahoe!

What an improvement since last year!!!  I am so glad I gave this place another try because last year we went here and we were sorely disappointed with not only the prices, decor and coffee...but the attitude of the people working there. However, since having to try this place out again of necessity I was delightfully surprised by the changes!!
Side note: One of the best vanilla lattes in Tahoe!

Now that they've renovated the entire store, I'd go here for almost everything. Great liquor and craft/micro beer selection. The deli sandwiches are great, both on sliced bread or rolls. If you build your own sandwich, be sure to add the maple brown sugar bacon, and get the garlic and pepper spreads.

Nothing like the old Obexer's store.  This new reincarnation was a fantastic surprise this morning.  The new ownership has changed everything from the layout to the groceries they stock to the deli items.  I took a walk through before ordering my fantastic breakfast bagel and was happy to see the kinds of ingredients i would buy.  They have frontera salsa, go lean cereals, and items by Amy's.  The kinds of things i couldn't find at Safeway in town.  Hi quality ingredients,  groceries, and even produce.  Now the breakfast bagel was astounding, we had the Garwood which was served on a fresh everything bagel and had egg cheese, and brown sugar bacon.  Yes I said brown sugar bacon, and if thats not something you would drive out of your way for your not deserving of it anyways.  I saw a breakfast burrito on the menu i'm going to get next time, it has curry french fries and the brown sugar bacon in it along with eggs.

This market reopened over the winter and is now back under the management of the Obexer family.  They have completely revamped the store (they carry everything from everyday staples to specialty/organics) and the deli (the sandwiches are amazing - try the Edna's BLAT!).  Bonus:  full liquor license means no more trips to Tahoe City for booze!

We are long time patrons of Obexer's Market. It recently reopened as Obexer's General Store. What a pleasant surprise, from the remodeled interior to the well stocked grocery section to the wonderful new menu. We had an outstanding Ednas' BLAT sandwich and Garwoods Bagel sandwich. The coffee is some of the best offered on The Lake. We are planning to order picnic lunches this Summer to take on our boat. Friendly staff and clean, well lit restaurant/store.
