Delicious food. I worked here, and everything is homemade except the tamales!! I love coming here for the salsa, the ranchero beans, the chile relleno, the flautas, really for everything but especially the queso fundido! It's so amazing, and athens ochoas doesn't have it on the menu nor will they serve it to you. I think malakoff location is better by a long shot, I will not return to athens so come here!!
Review Source:Food is good, I haven't been there in awhile, but they are now charging for the fresh pico they use to put on ALL tables, I went ahead and paid .75 cents for it. I finished it and wanted another one, and they charge per little bowl, I was pretty upset how they have went down hill since my last visit. I won't be going back, there's a little place down the road in malakoff tx that has a fajita plate for 4.95$ that's where we go now
Review Source:We were driving back home from Flint, Texas and discovered this restaurant. This place was pretty tasty, especially since there were not that many places to choose from. The chips were served warm, and the salsa was fresh. We ordered the taco place and the fajitas, which we paired with a wonderful margarita for less than $4. They were fantastic! Our dishes were seasoned well, and the margarita was in a big mug. Ochoa's also give you puffy sopapillas with honey at the end of your meal. These were actually the best sopapillas we've had in while. They were also served warm and had a light coating of cinnamon. We'll definitely be back whenever we drive through the small town since the food and service was outstanding.
