This was our first...and last time here.  We travelled from the Quad-Cities to try the food here, having seen it on a previous trip.  Ordered the Parmesian chicken.  It arrived with the aspearagus and carrot melody marginally warm.  The chicken was a disappointment.

On the plus side our waitress was very efficient and courteous.  As others mentioned the view is great, the facility is nice but there is so much potential being wasted.  It is my opinion that a first class cook could really drive the business here.

I arrived here via boat.  That in itself gets many stars from this lady.

A lovely man friend invited me for a nice river cruise and we stopped here for lunch.  The weather was unseasonably warm so we enjoyed lunch outside.  I went with a wrap.  Tasty!

And yes the view here is incredible!

This was one of the most relaxing afternoons I had in a long time, and thanks to Off Shore, we had a lovely lunch to round out the day.  Hell yes I'd come back, but it'd have to be by boat ;)

We were staying in Bellevue a few weekends back. One of the first places we stopped was Off Shore, 1) because it was on the way and 2) I had read something about it on yelp before heading up, specifically that it had a great view. The view part was absolutely correct. They have an excellent location with a view up and down the river a mile in either direction. The beers were cheap, I think 1.50 for an 8oz Bud light. We can work with that. But the food was a let down. I ordered the "firecracker" burger, which was overcooked and decidedly mediocre. It came with "cheddar cheese fries" which were just soggy fries smothered with nacho cheese. My wife ordered the puffy tacos were ok, certainly nothing to write home about. If youre looking for a great view and run of the mill bar food, this will fit the bill, especially if you have been boating/drinking all day and just want a place to pull up to. If you are looking for anything with culinary inspiration, this isnt it.

If you're looking for a place on the upper Mississippi with plenty of outdoor seating and an awesome view, Off Shore Bar & Grill in Bellevue is the place is for you!  Boaters can pull right up the shore and the the three-tiered deck gives everyone a great view of the river.  The servers were all wearing Iowa Hawkeye gear.  Our server was very friendly and enthusiastic.

The menu is mostly bar food - sandwiches, pizza and a few dinner entrees.  They serve breakfast on Sunday from 9am-2pm.

The wife ordered the Bellevue steak sandwich and was very good with fresh mushrooms, bell peppers and onion with sliced prime rib and melted cheese.  Its only flaw is the hotdog bun they served it on, which quickly soaked through.  It would be a lot better on a denser hoagie or French roll.  The land & sea basket my bro-in-law ordered came with chicken strips and breaded shrimp (recommended).  Both came with flat, seasoned fries, you could see the Parmesan on them.

I had the the special, puffed tacos, the low point of the meal.  The flour shells are lightly fried and puffed up.  The taco filling was very greasy which soaked through the taco shell.  It came with "unlimited" chips n' cheese.  The cheese was straight of the can, not even warmed up.  You know the stuff they pump on your nachos at the concession stand?  Same stuff.  They really need to do better than that.  Otherwise we really enjoyed ourselves.  I would recommend you get out here soon while the weather's good and you can relax on the deck with a good meal and a cold one.
