Myself and the party I was with never had a chance to enjoy this establishment. It felt like that if you weren't a regular you didn't belong there. Â We could figure out if there was a it staff or just the bartender. Â Even if we wanted to go to the bar to get a drink we couldn't get through the crowd if we wanted to. Â Being called the office we were expecting better decor out of the place but it really just screamed dive bar to us.
Review Source:Some locals recommended this bar on a saturday night, couldn't of been happier with the service, the great atmosphere, and most importantly... the amazing drinks, tons of great unique cocktails and everything was reasonably priced.
Will be coming back the next time I find myself in san angelo
This is truly a unique bar...very modern and cool atmosphere. I haven't found another bar like this in san angelo. A good variety of signature cocktails that you won't find anywhere else, and for once a bar with clean bathrooms.. I highly recommend The Office, quite possibly the best bar in San Angelo!
Review Source:Was a bit disappointed upon entering the Office one evening and experiencing what seems to be an all too typical San Angelo service experience - non-service. Four bartenders behind the bar, all of them focused entirely on their phones, texting away while a few of us stood waiting for drinks in an otherwise empty bar. I don't know what it is about this town but it seems to be prevalent in the majority of the bars and restaurants, service staff with an attitude that the patron is doing them a favor by even showing up.
Look, I'm not asking for the world, or even a complicated drink, just make some eye contact and take my drink order. At least pretend like you give a shit?
Especially telling was the comment from one of the bartenders that I should "go across the street" if I wanted bartenders that were actually tending bar.
Sadly and with few exceptions (FiFi's, C&P, Joe's), I've gotten used to this attitude here and it's hardly the worst example I've experienced. In a way I guess San Angelo has beaten me into submission. But a hint to some of you entrepreneurs out there - hire and train staff that actually gives a damn and they will come.
