Typical roadside joint but clean and easily accessible. Â Not a lot of character but then again one doesn't eat character.
Food was average for the genre. Â Pork ribs (large size, not baby backs) were not tough but not tender and the sliced pork plate was not hot but not cold. Â Decent everyday sweet sauce, applied at the table by the diner. Â Friendly and quite competent table service. Â Desert (peach cobbler) was an excellent example of what this desert should be.
Was in FL visiting my grandmother and stopped by the local bbq joint. It looked like the real deal from the outside (Dirt parking lot and wooden exterior) and it delivered once inside.
I ordered three pork ribs for under six bucks. They were huge and delicious. The meat melted right off the bone as you would expect from a real bbq joint that takes pride in smoking their ribs. They had three bbq sauces at the table; sweet, mild and hot. The sweet and mild were traditional brown (memphis) style sauces and the hot was a yellow (north carolina) mustard/vinegar style sauce. I loved the sweet sauce, it had some nice brown sugar/molasses flavor to it put still managed to  be tangy, just how I like it.
If you happen to be in this very rural part of Florida, definitely stop by the Old Crow.
I have been going to Old Crow since forever. They even cater the local school functions. It is amazing old home bar-b-q. They have a pretty basic menu, slow cooked ribs, smoked turkey, ham, home made bbq sauce and always excellent fresh desserts.
The actual restaurant looks like a little smoke house on the side of the road with a dirt parking lot. The right side is the take out window and the left is the actual restaurant.
Hours are classic bbq joint hours: Wednesday-Sunday 11-8:30 dine in and 11-9 take out window.
