Driving in holiday traffic is tiring. You are hungry and cranky, and your next pit stop is still far away... Fear not, Old Forge Grill conveniently located on Pocahantas trail (rt 60)
Simple, local, no bells and whistles - just good food cooked to order, fresh.
Cold lemonade. Refreshing.
Grilled Virginia ham and cheese sandwich. Delicious.
Milkshakes. Mmmmm.
And... Breakfast all day!!!
Seriously, forget WhateverFastFoodChain*cough*McDonalds*cough*ÂPremadeNoSoulCrap.
Stop at Old Forge Grill. Take a break, relax and eat after long driving hours, or hard day at work.
Great little country dive, a fav of the locals (though this may be the only restaurant in town which makes it easy to determine).
Service is kinda slow as it seems the only cook on staff can only manage cooking 1 plate @ a time... so don't b in a hurry when you come.
There is nothing I've had here that I'd go so far as to say OMG, you gotta go & try the xxxxx, but if you're on Rt 60, I'd say it's worth stopping vs going to the chain food joints around like Subway or McD's
