After reading the reviews here on Yelp, we decided to try this place. We were seated right away but by the time we left, the place was packed. I had one of their specialty hamburgers. I thought it was quite tasty. The server was a doll and the prices were a bargain. Atmosphere? Sports bar, which is not my cup of tea but if you like lots of different beers and TVs, go! I'd go back next summer (I was on vacation).

It calls itself a brewpub but there's no beer brewed on the premises, how does that work? Sandwiches good, fancier fare is spotty. Whitefish for example undercooked, couldn't eat. It's a loud friendly small ceilinged joint so if you have claustrophobic tendencies best to beware. Television always on. Full bar and reasonable draft selections but not much special and nothing brewed there (they have plans to I guess but nothing to show for it at this point). Nevertheless a step up from other sports bars in Plainwell.

Best burgers around! Salads are also nice. chicken strips are homemade & tasty! Owners help run the front of house and are super friendly, especially to our girls. Nice selection of local beers, can't wait until they start brewing their own. Overall, a great local place to take the family for some awesome food that doesn't bust the bank.

Heard about Old Mill from a friend, not sure how long it's been around, but we decided to check it out. Nice seating area inside, nice atmosphere. Our waitress was very friendly and very helpful knowing it was our first time there. Excellent selection of beers available and wines too for the non-beer drinkers. The menu was kind of limited, but I am guessing most people aren't there exclusively for the food. I had the meatloaf and it was delicious. The only thing I would recommend is that they get an actual dessert menu or at least a couple of dessert options. The brownie thing didn't look appealing so we opted not to even try it.

This is the only dinner restaurant we eat at when we ski bittersweet.

Five Star Food with Three Star Prices.  Exquisite atmosphere.

My first trip to Old Mill was okay. I had the chicken sandwich and the charcoal tasted "dirty", but I have to admit to not knowing much about blackened food. My friend had the open face chili burger special and he enjoyed that very much. I will go back and try a different menu item. The beer was good and cold. The service was adequate.

It's a brew pub with excellent pub food. Great atmosphere! Patty melt was delicious. Don't be in a hurry and enjoy the mill.

Unique atmosphere and decent food, but still rough edges.  Wait staff is unseasoned. We were two of a party of four and waited for 10 minutes after being seated before waitress came to take a drink order.  Not sure but it was almost as if they were waiting until the rest of our party showed.  After that, the waitress was trying to push us through.  Three times within 10 minutes she interrupted the table asking if we were ready to order.   The whole dinning experience was dominated by the waitress trying to turn the table.  The food is ok (except the crab cakes that are frozen probably straight from Gordon foods) and the micro brew selection is good.   Probably won't return, but it's worthy of one trip to decide for yourself.

We went later in the evening around 10pm on a Saturday when there was a private party going on upstairs. The chef was accomodating to our specific food requests, the server was really nice & attentive, and the beer was delicious!
