I'm only giving this 3 stars because our waitress was a flake and seemed to only care to service the locals.   The burrata and baked feta were both excellent. Perfect food selection for a wine bar.  Atmosphere great, bartender friendly.

Loveee this spot! Best Manhattan I've ever had, delicioussss food and really cool vibe. Came here with family and had the meatballs, short rib and polenta and this unreal flatbread. The two guys working were really friendly and knowledgeable.

I had a lovely time here on a short trip back to Kport.  It was a pleasure to meet some of the locals in the off-season.

Great spot for food and potations. The bartenders are as awesome as the cocktail menu. Maybe even a little bit more. Great tapas-style food - all homemade and fresh. Eat at the bar, at a romantic table in the corner, or outside by the fire pit.  It doesn't get better than this in Kennebunk.

Old Vines is Kennebunkport's best kept secret (although I think the secret is finally getting out). It is located in lower village and has  a very warm, inviting atmosphere.  The cocktail list is filled with hand-crafted drinks and obviously the wine list is solid. They offer a small menu that includes a nice selection of cheese, cured meats, lighter snacks, and tapas. The service is always great and in the warmer months, you can sit outside in front of a roaring fire pit. It attracts a lot of kport locals, but everyone is friendly and welcoming. It's a uniquely great addition to the restaurant scene in Kennebunkport.

This place is not very big inside but the food is EXCELLENT! I told the waiter they lived up to the positive reviews. I had the pork panini and my wife had the chicken meatballs and salad. The service and staff are super fast and friendly.

A magical evening. Started inside at the bar since the outside dining area is highly coveted. The bartender, Ben, was laid back, friendly, and super nice. He took great care and effort to make our cocktails. The bar has cool lighting, music, and decor.

We moved outside once we saw a table was available. The tables are set around fire pits. Our bartender, Ben, went above and beyond to continue to serve us outside. Unforgettable. For food - go for the "White Pizza" - best flat bread pizza of my life. The meat and cheese dishes are incredible. Ben picked us out a fantastic Italian wine and helped us pair the meat and cheese. The hummus plate and salads were also great.

Highly recommend. You do not want to miss this spot while visiting Kennebunkport!

This was by far our favorite meal of our weekend in Kennebunk.  We started off with some Manchego, Cabot's Clothbound Chedder and some serrano ham, which was served with toasted bread, almonds and dried cranberries.  Great way to start the meal.

I moved on to a panini with roasted pork and Italian peppers that was absolutely delicious.  Great panini bread and it was grill and pressed to perfection.  My wife got the onion and bacon flatbread which was LOADED with garlic.  Since we both love garlic we were fine with it, but some others might have had some issues.

We sat at the bar and the staff was fantastic.  I forgot to hit up the bartender for his limoncello recipe so I might have to call them back this week.

Highly recommended, get there early because by about 6pm you'll be waiting for a table.

I came in here not having the best birthday in the world. Just wanted some quiet with a friend. REALLY wanted some bubbly by the glass, ended up getting just that even though what we had wasn't on the menu (by the glass). Now that is awesome service, and really made day. Thank you so much. Lovely ambiance, warm staff, and of course awesome wine. What more could you want? Will be back to EAT. :)

Very tasty tapas! Make sure to try the cured meats. The duck prosciutto was incredible. The drinks are very good too.

Had a great dinner at Old Vines Wine bar this past Friday. Great food, killer cocktails and a nice relaxing atmosphere. We had some cheese selections and the duck prosciutto, all were wonderful. Friend had the meatloaf panini and I had the flatbread pizza. Both were really really good. Just right after the long drive up to Maine from southeastern Mass. The cocktails were just wonderful. I had the rye manhattan, ok, more than one...maybe 3...friend had something made with blood orange juice that was very nice also. Friend switched to a beer that was like 10.3%  so he had a great evening! Went back for drinks the next night. Wish we lived closer!

I was most recently treated to a evening at Old Vines for Valentine's Day and I loved every moment of it.  As locals, this is one of our favorite spots.  We enjoyed the dips & toast with hummus, roasted veggie panini, and the flatbread pizza with bacon & sauteed onions. All the food was excellent and very fresh!  The flatbread pizza has such a great flavor and I would highly recommend it to anyone.  My boyfriend and I like to try a little bit of everything instead of having one large meal and we find that Old Vine's menu really satisfies that need.  The wine's are great and the bartender makes the best mixed drinks in town!  I highly recommend this spot to locals and visitors alike!

Pleasant outdoor dining with tapas style dishes available.  The ingredients were fresh and well prepared.  Our server knew the menu and wines and helped us order a satisfying meal.

I absolutely ADORED my dinner at Old Vines Wine Bar last Wednesday night. Some of the charm may have been the cool weather (Maine vs. Texas), the fact that I was on vacation and that it was the one date night during a 12 day family gathering... but this was a wonderful evening.

We drove by the restaurant and I said how cute it looked then as we wandered around town, we asked the woman in Anniebells (local floral, etc shop... worth a visit!!) for an idea of where to go sit outside. She said, "my husband, Scott, is the bartender at Old Vines if you wanted to try that." I'm so glad we did!

We sat outside by the wood burning firepit. I told the server that I would like a cocktail and told her an idea of the kind of things I liked... she immediately retrieved Scott from behind his busy bar and he made me a fantastic French 75. After that, I asked for something similar but different and he gave me another AMAZING drink. Prices for those and the wine we drank all were very reasonable. My husband liked his cocktails, too.

The food came out at a leisurely pace and everything was fantastic. We had one cheese (again, asked for a recommendation and got exactly what I wanted), the flatbread, meatballs and short rib and loved it all. I wanted to try one of everything on the menu!

I will go back to Old Vines during our next family vacation. Highly recommend! (And you know I'm serious because I was sitting there during dinner thinking "I haven't Yelped in forever and I'm going to for this restaurant!")

*One random note... it was VERY dark inside. I don't know if that's because I had been sitting outside... but I had to get my phone light out to figure out which was the ladies' restroom. I think I would have enjoyed it for a cozy date night if I hadn't loved the weather outside so much.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary night out, and we couldn't have been happier!  We had a bottle of wine, several appetizer plates, and then had dessert and port to finish.   Everything was absolutely delicious.  We didn't even have to spend as much as we would have on dinner at a "nice" restaurant, and we were still as full and satisfied.

The plates, although small, are quite filling and everything we ordered seemed to go well with everything else.  We had the smoked almonds, 2 of the cheese plates (the brie combo and the cheddar/gouda combo), and one of the spreads, I think it was roasted red pepper.  The menu does change often, but I would recommend any cheese plate that sounds good to you, as they both were delicious and served with what they called "condiments": dried cherries, apricots, and some kind of fruit paste that was totally yummy.  The cheese was served with perfectly toasted baguette drizzled with olive oil - yum.

For dessert my husband had the chocolate sorbetto and I had biscotti, but would've ordered the creme brulee sorbetto if they weren't sold out!

We know a little bit about wine so we didn't test out the waitress or the owner with questions, but they were both very friendly and checked in on us frequently.  The atmosphere was dark and romantic; we were there on a Thursday night.  Not many people there but it was off-season and we liked it that way.

If you're looking for a different kind of night out and you enjoy wine and a relaxing atmosphere, this is the place for you.

Old Vines is a great place to go before dinner, after dinner or even for dinner if you are looking for lighter fare. The wine list was great; there was plenty to choose from without being overwhelming. We shared a cheese plate (the one with goat cheese) and some olives. The cheeses w/accompanying fruit were delicious. The olives were decent, but I wasn't crazy about the way the dressing.

The environment was very charming. We came around 7:00 on a Saturday night over Labor Day Weekend. It was busy, but not crowded. The lighting and music were soft and soothing. After two glasses of wine, we were completely relaxed!

great selection of wines by the tasting/glass or bottle. Owner/chef came by to check in on the meal and chat which was very nice. Waitress wasn't very knowledge about the wines which was surprising but knowledgable help soon arrived. Great duck breast tapas and excellent salads. Bar has a great laid back vibe.

Old Vines is an traditional European-style wine bar with a great selection of wine by both the glass and bottle. It also serves tapas-style appetizers and some light meals such as salads and quiche. The staff was very welcoming and, more importantly, could make knowledgeable recommendations about the wine.

My wife and I started with appetizer plates including a very tasty dish of cheese curds, some olive tapenade and hummus, and mushrooms, all of which were great. We tried  a couple of the larger plates of Soprassata (ham) quiche and tuna Nicoise. The quiche was tasty and light, and the tuna was done perfectly - just seared and seasoned. The measl were paired with a good Spanish Rioja suggested by the staff.

All in all, Old Vines is a valuable addition to the Kennebunk Lower Village restaurant scene, and we'll certainly be back.
