There are not a lot of places to eat in little Winnsboro. In fact we only have one dinning restaurant, Enzo's (Italian). We were pleased to find the Olde Town Hall Restaurant (Olde Town for short) in Ridgeway about 15-20 minutes drive from where we live.
This became our weekly get-together place. Every Wednesday night 4 friends were enjoying dinner, beers, gossiping about the latest developments (you know small town talk) and counting the Target trucks driving by.
The place was always packed with locals and the occasional tourists on their way to Myrtle Beach. We will easily spend 2-3 hours and pretty good money for the area.
The signature dish was the Wings platter and the finger licking crisp "raw-fries". I liked best the gyro, the blue cheese burger and the New York style pizza(also a favorite with my 4 years old). Except for the salads pretty much everything you ordered was good. The were lots of beer choices (including my favorite Shiner Bock). The wine was so-so.
Yet few months ago the management changed (again!) and everything seems to be going south. Food is no longer great, the menu changed and is more expensive and there are less choices on both food and drinks.
It's now an OK place to eat. Â I hope it will go "back to normal", we really liked it there. Until then we now get together at our house or go to Blythewood.
