We were in town for the Topless For Tatas, Jeep only breast cancer charity event and were told by everyone this was the place to go for dinner. And they weren't wrong!
Our table order the filet w/crab, salmon and scallops and crab entrees with various sides. The filet was awesome - rivals any Morton's or Ruth Chris we've ever been to. And the scallops were cooked absolutely perfectly.
For dessert, we had the bourbon apple pie homemade ice cream. This was the best ice cream I've ever had! It has chunks of actual apple pie in it! Note: you have to be 21 to have it because there is a lot of bourbon in it. But the good thing is that the bourbon is not overpowering - you can taste a hint of it and that's all.
And the service...awesome! Friendly, knowledgeable and perfectly timed food presentation.
The only thing we were bummed about is that we couldn't come back the next day  - they're closed on Sundays and Mondays.
If you're anywhere near this place, definitely come by for dinner. You won't regret it!
Love love love this place. Best steaks I've ever eaten in Schuylkill County.
Dining is in a room back behind the bar, not fancy but very deceptive. Chef cooks food that could come from any fine restaurant in a city.
Food can be slow to come out, but be patient. It is so worth the wait. This place is frequently packed on Friday/Saturday night (and it's small) so make reservations.
Wait staff very friendly and the owner does check on the tables personally. One of my favorite places to eat -- in Pine Grove or all of Schuylkill County.
Wonderful pub found while traveling along Rt 81 this weekend. We love trying to find local spots to stop and eat when traveling and were thrilled to find this place. Â Impressive martini menu (which is hard to find at most places) and an a innovative food menu. Service was great and the company in the pub was fun. Since it is only a few miles off of 81 I will make it a point to stop there again next time I am driving through.
Review Source:We arrived around 5:30 on a Friday night and were surprised by the crowd. They had trouble eating our party of 7+1, as they had a big reservation saved for ~20 people, which consumed half of the dining area.
Service was friendly, but it took about an hour to get our food.
Prices were about what we pay at home, but seemed high for Schuylkill County, and considering the ambience (or lack thereof).
I had the shrimp tacos which were very tasty, and slightly spicy. They came with no sides, which left me a little hungry. Fortunately my wife could not finish her turkey wrap, which was huge. It was also pretty good, but contained some powerful onions ( which I liked, but my wife did not.
My daughter's cheeseburger came out more rare than medium, and we had to send it back. It returned cooked a little more, but she still could not eat the middle which remained fairly red. I enjoyed it.
The owner came to check on us when we send back the burger, and everything else was ok.
There are few choices for dining out in Pine Grove, so I'm sure we would return here the next time we were visiting relatives in town.
At first glance this place is a little off putting because it looks like a corner bar.  You enter right into the bar which, on a Sat. Nite, is crowded.  But in the back is the dining room.  Certainly not an elegant place, but inviting and cozy.  The menu is quite varied with lots of seafood.  We had little clams  (appetizer), fish cakes with smashed pots and green beans.  Husband had hunters beef tips.  Everything was very good.  Clams were quite spicy.  Two very big fish cakes.  Big, hot food portions. I would recommend this place for anyone traveling along Rt. 81.  Clientele was varied -- oldsters, singles, families.
