The Myrtle Burger was a major disappointment. I liked that they LOADED the burger with grilled onions, however, they were way too salty and tasted like beef broth. Don't even get me started on the soggy buns...so wet it was flattened out and tasted like greasy mush.  I like a greasy burger but this was overkill. The meat was decent-maybe the regular cheeseburger is good.  I ordered to-go so maybe it's less greasy when you eat in? I may give it another shot. I liked the corn nuggets...never had them before so not much to compare them to but they were sweet and salty and crunchy.

Husband got the fried pork burger. bleh. Thin pork patty that didn't really appear to be pork. Flavor was okay.

Wish I could have loved this local joint!!

    (Very friendly staff fyi!)

The burgers are 6-oz. patties and cooked to your specification.  I ordered mine medium, and it came medium-rare.  Not a deal-breaker, because I was hungry and had to eat.  As Brian M. said, the burgers are incredibly greasy.  Not juicy...greasy.  I kind of like greasy burgers, but if you don't eat quickly, your bottom bun will become paste.

When my cheeseburger was delivered, it had the unmistakable stench of onions, although I ordered an onion-free burger.  I was told that the burgers are cooked on the same griddle as the (apparently copious amounts of) onions, a la Krystal.  The very nice lady offered to take it and have another fried on a griddle specifically designated as "onion free," but I was seriously hungry.  I am allergic to onions, but it's not a life-threatening allergy...they just make me bleed inside for a bit and give me explosive...ah, nevermind.  Point is, if you don't like or don't eat onions, tell them when you order.

The cheeseburger was pretty good.  Somebody said that Wednesdays are $2 burgers (or $2 off?), which would be about right.  The menu price is $7.49, which is high for a cheeseburger, IMO.  The only saving grace, and why I wasn't dissatisfied when I left, was that fries come with the burger.  Not a little pile of fries, either...an entire basket of tasty, hot tater sticks, of the frozen, non-crinkle cut variety.  Wherever you roost, you'll have squeeze bottles of ketchup and mustard within grabbing distance, so that's a plus.  Mayonnaise is delivered on a case-by-case basis in a little plastic cup from the kitchen.

Fresh veggies, which somebody else also mentioned.  A sweet, yet firm, big slice of ripe tomato (wish that I could find some at the grocery like that!), crispy lettuce, and the best burger pickle slices around...might be Vlasic or Claussen.

The teevees are outdated and small, but there are quite a few adorning the unassuming interior.  The staff was very friendly, attentive, and efficient.  I would go back again.

    Man, what a find!

Had the day off today and decided to hit this place up based on Yelp reviews of their burger.  My pal and I were the only two dudes in the place and our arrival interrupted the two server/bartenders on their break.  They were only too happy to be interrupted; both were genuinely friendly and took excellent care of us.

As others have noted, the place is pretty unassuming from the outside, but if you're looking for Parisian ambiance in a burger joint, you should stop reading this review now and discard any of my reviews you stumble upon in the future, as you and I live in separate universes and share nothing in common.

The burger was really, really good.  I ordered mine no-frills:  pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, raw onion, and gator sauce on the side.  You can add bacon for a buck, my compatriot did and was very pleased.  I thought mine was delicious.  The only -- and I mean only -- thing I could critique was the juiciness/greasiness factor.  Some reviewers have called it strictly greasy.  There's definitely some grease but I think most of the liquid is juice from the  meat, especially if you order it less than medium-well done.  It was wet and a little sloppy but it was so good I ordered and entirely consumed another identical burger immediately after finishing the first.

Because of their "$2 Burger Wednesdays" (specifics described below), my order of two burgers and one iced tea came out to $9.30.  This would be a really incredible value even for a mediocre burger, and this thing was damn good.

*Every Wednesday $2 burgers all day with purchase of a soda/ beer (add 50¢ for cheese, 25¢ for L/T/O, 50¢ for grilled onions or jalapenos, $1 for bacon, and 25¢ for sauce)*

I got their standard burger, and it was waaaay to greasy. Couldn't even use the bottom bun because it was saturated in grease. Upside was that they have cheap beer and cheap wings. That's really about it. In my opinion, it's not a great place to watch sporting events. TVs are outdated and they don't have much sound on them. The staff is very friendly and it seems as though it is a hangout for many locals. I would be willing to give it a second try, but will not be going for one of the burgers again.

Also, my friend had the Myrtle Burger, and could not really tell the difference other than the onions.

I was hesitant to go inside this place; it has zero curb appeal. But the reviews of their burgers got the better of me, and I have no regrets, except for not trying this place sooner.
The staff is very friendly and efficient. I mentioned that I had heard about their "famous" burgers, and my server guided me to their well-known Myrtle Burger. I knew I was in for a treat when she asked me how I wanted it cooked.
When the burger arrived, it was intoxicating. The grilled onions gave it an amazing flavor. It was so good, I could not force myself to put it down. I savored every last bite. It was the perfect size for a hungry guy, without being too large to make you uncomfortable. The fries that came with it (who can resist fries?) were crisp and warm. My bill for this tasty lunch, including a glass of iced tea, was just under $10.00. We have all spent more for a lot less.
This is a not-so-well-kept secret in Milton. Look beyond the modest exterior and treat yourself to one of the best burgers in the county.

It's not fancy, but where in Milton are you expecting that.  And to be honest, in places like Milton, the little casual and dive-y places are where you need to be anyway! It's clean, and it's family friendly.

Cheap beer, cheap food, and delicious burgers. I have only had some of their appetizers and burgers to review, but I wish I had tried this place much sooner before I moved away.  If you like onions, you need to have the myrtle burger. It's one of those burgers that you have to scarf down as soon as possible.  It's impossible to put down without falling apart. And you WILL be covered in juice and grease.  You'll be licking your fingers wanting more.

There is a mountain of sauteed onions on this burger, and it's served in a plastic tray with lettuce/tomato/onion/pickle, but you'll be eating those separately. There is no way to put them on the burger, and you won't want to.  But you will want to eat them, they are as fresh and thickly sliced as could be.  Your burger will come with a big portion of fries that are served in their own little basket.

    Nom. Nom.

We didn't know they had moved but found it thanks to Google Maps.  It's next to the bingo hall and looks like a typical bar when you walk in.  They have bar food and it's so good.  Lots of appetizers to choose from.  We got the onion rings that come with gator sauce (their hot sauce) which they sell.  My boyfriend and I both got burgers.  I got the famous Myrtle Burger.  The only reason you shouldn't get that is if you don't like onions.  Patty was cooked medium well, a single piece of American cheese and a pile of grilled onions.  Didn't even need ketchup or mustard.  Lettuce, tomato, a pickle and mayo served on the side.  All burgers served with fries or potato chips for under $10.  The hotdogs are huge.  They have Yuengling and Blue Moon on tap. They also have a couple of arcade games and TVs.  Amber, our waitress was just as sweet as she can be and took great care of us.  It might not look like much but has great food.  I can't wait to go back.  I want to try the fried okra.

Stopped in on Saturday for the grand reopening after their move. Great food great service and at 1991 prices. Wow! Don't miss the best burgers in Milton, as well as a pretty good Po Boy.

We went there on Saturday around 2pm. We had to sit at the bar which I do not mind. I ordered a hamburger with fries. The produce is the best and though the burger is not seasoned per se it was juicy and had a nice grilled taste. I will be going back whenever I get a burger craving.
Not a dressy place. Food is great.
