PA Paw's Restaurant

This was a while ago so it may not still hold true, but...I only at here once, but one thing sent me home and made sure I never came back. Ants. There were ants all over the table and covering the top of the sugar. Gross. We left immediately and never even considered eating there again. If there are ants on the table I don't even want to know whats going on in the kitchen.

YUM! I love the veggie plate and my mom always gets their burger. We drive all the way from 280 to go and it is nice drive and totally worth the yumminess!

If it's good enough for the Shelby County Sheriffs, it's good enough for me. We had a little extra time before a family affair and decided to stop in to Pa Paw's for breakfast instead of McD's.

The smoked sausage was really great - reminded me of my family's homemade sausage. Grits good, as expected. Overall a good and hearty meal. Coffee was a little weak for my liking, but might've been the pot. Brother had fried bologna egg and cheese sandwich with a side of home fries and cheese. Consensus was to stick with grits and stay away from those home fries.

Everything is cheap, service friendly and welcoming. The signage is classic: My wife and money are at Super Wal-Mart; Fishermen, Hunters and Other Liars served here. Keep an eye on the walls if you're looking for specials or local services - the walls are painted with businesses and phone numbers. Smart. Saw a Valentine's Day special offering two steaks, mashed or baked potato and salads for $25. Not a bad deal I suspect.

Oh, and free WiFi! Quite a steal.
