We tend to eat at Pack'er Inn nearly every time I'm at my girlfriend's hometown. Â The most recent time was for dinner with her family on a Friday night. Â They have a bar in the front, which I love going to because the prices are half of what I'm used to in Chicago. Â After spending some time there with all the locals (and snowmobilers) and drinking for cheap, we sat for dinner and I ordered cod (not the fish fry version). Â It was good, but I'd prefer to get something else next time, probably the fish fry. Â The wait staff is always friendly and never forgets about you. Â They lose some brownie points due to their obvious naming pun and pictures/signs to the football team (go Bears!) but quickly gain them back with the Cubs stuff on the walls. Â At least the owner has one of his sports team loyalties right! Â I've also had their catered food at parties in the area, and it is always good and they give you plenty of it. Â The Pack'er Inn is a frequent stop for me when I'm in the area and I suggest you check it out too.
