Wow, what a great little joint! Â Thanks to Yelp and my fellow Yelpers for helping me find it! Â We went to Swain on a Wednesday, not realizing that it didn't open until 1, so I Yelped us up a bar, and found this gem!
Gorgeous bar, nice seating, very clean and comfortable. Â Cool little signs of Irish wisdom posted all around the place.
Great beer selection. Â They have 24 taps, just about all of which are craft beer. Â I had a beer I've never had before (Lake Placid Nippletop Milk Stout), and that is pretty surprising for a guy who has had thousands of different beers. Â They had selections from Southern Tier, Ithaca, Horsheads, Lake Placid, Dogfish Head, and Great Lakes (Blackout Stout!) among others.
The menu is awesome. Â Lots of pub standards, plus some unique specialties. Â The wings were outstanding, and they had some very creative sauces. Â We tried the salt & vinegar, the orange ginger, and the pineapple curry. Â They were all very good, pineapple curry was the overall winner in my book. Â Also had the reuben, which was good, not the best I've ever had, but it was solid, with a decent amount of corned beef, on good bread that was well toasted and not soggy. Â The fries that came with the reuben were very good.
Very friendly and welcoming servers and bartenders.
Plenty of parking in the area.
FYI: Paddy's is actually at 66 Broadway MALL, if you GPS plain old 66 Broadway, you'll end up at the Police Department. Â Paddy Wagons instead of Paddy's Pub!
We stopped into Patty's Pub and Grill on our way to a concert in Endicott the other day. We had to wait to be seated for a couple minutes as the servers walked past us several time without even acknowledging us. But once we got seated our server was polite and fast with our drinks and food. I was impressed by the selection of beers and really happy to find 1812 on tap this far south of Sackets Harbor. Our food arrived quickly and we were both happy with our selections. Nice little place, we will go back if we find ourselves in Hornell again.
Review Source:Patty's gets 5 stars from me for the wings alone. Â Yesterdays I tried one of their new flavors - Salt and Vinegar. Â As a wing flavor I was very skeptical but they pulled it off and it's now one of my favorites. Â
Add to the great wings a nice place to have a few cold ones, other great food offerings like a ginormous club egg salad sandwich and very friendly service and Patty's easily earns 5 stars.
After 8 hours on the road, we were tired and in need of grub. We piled into Patty's because - well it was an Irish style pub from the outside looks of the place. The food turned out to be actually and surprisingly good and unexpected. The beer selection was excellent and the service was decent.
Review Source:My first dinner in the city of Hornell was at Paddy's and so glad it was. Â Wednesday nights are, All You Can Eat - Build your own Pasta Night! I opted for the penne a la vodka with mushrooms and I was really happy with my choice. The waitress was very nice and welcoming and I liked the restaurants interior. Definitely a nice place to unwind with friends and family and they have GREAT food :) Will be going back.
