Padri Italian Cuisine & Martini Bar

This review is only being critiqued for the music for dancing.   I went on a Thursday night and was told there would be a DJ that evening at 9:30pm playing top 40's.  I have been there a few times when they have had live music.  So I know it can be a fun place.  My friend and I got there and we were told the DJ will start at 10:00pm.  He started with the 70's and 80's then went to Latin music and back to 70's and then to Israeli music. Mostly ended up with Israeli music.   He was all over the board with his music choices.  He wouldn't play any requests that were made.  Then he got out on the dance floor and danced with some of his friends.  Even the few people that were there said the music was horrible...but we all tried to work with it.  If this is the way the Thursday evenings will be, then I guess I will have to go elsewhere for some decent music.  I might have known when the DJ was wearing a Hawaiian shirt....

On another note the people there were fun, it's just the music wasn't good AT ALL.

I have never had a bad time here.  Thursday is the BEST night  for live music and dancing.  Cally place void of attitudes.

I had been to Padris several times just for the bar scene.  Then I went there for dinner once before the nightlife and was pleasantly surprised!  The food is quite delish and they have a great menu, so whenever my friends and I are planning a local night out, we make sure to have dinner there first then hop over to the bar afterwards.

My complaint is about the service.  When my girlfriends and I arrived (we had a reservation), I believe the woman that was at the front, she is either the manager or the owners wife, barely acknowledged our party.  We are all in our 30's so it wasn't like we were a group of really young girls that just showed up.  Then another woman came in and asked about the party that she was with and took her to her table!  The waiter of our table is the person who ended up sitting our party, so strange.

Once we were seated, the service was OK.  But then as the evening went on, it started slipping.  We had empty plates on our tables for about 20 min, our water was not filled up once and they left us sitting there for a long time with nothing on our tables.  No dessert menu, bill, extra drink order, nothing.

So in short, great food, but service needs to be better for the type of place and the prices you pay for dinner.  Great service is expected at a nice place like this.
