Worst two chicken fried steaks I've ever had

In spite of the wimpy reviews on Palisades we decided to try it as it looked so inviting on the outside.   We were a bit disappointed at the inside decor but with trepidation we decided to stay.   So glad we did!   My husband ordered their Beef and Cheddar soup and I ordered the Taco Salad.   It arrived in a huge shell and stacked to the brim with lettuce, sour cream, avocado, and lots of ground beef.   DELICIOUS.   Hubby said the soup was very good too. It was filled with chunky tender pieces of beef.  I also found their iced tea delicious.    We will definitely visit again when in Gunnison, which just happens to be a favorite town of mine.

We stopped in here to have a quick snack to tide us over until dinner.  It took forever for a host to show up to seat us.  Even though it was 3:30p, they hadn't cleaned from the lunch service, so there was a lot of crap on the floor.  
The food was good, our waitress was very sweet and very good at her job.  It was awkward when she brought the credit card machine to the table and held it as we entered her tip.  Its a good thing we liked our service!
