The staff is nice, the ambiance is ok, but the food is not. The salsa tastes and looks like something out of a jar. My entree, the Chicken Parrilla, was a meciocre fat bomb. The chicken was pounded into a rectangle, and the cheese on top had no flavor. The sauteed onions and bell peppers were no better. I had to smother the dish in guacamole to make it edible. Broken Bow has very limited restaurant choices; this is the only reason why this place is still in business.

Service great, food great, and atmosphere easy to relax and talk. We weren't going to stop here based on reviews, but rain and motorcycles at night don't mix. Being from Texas it would certainly fall in the Tex-Mex style. We spent about $28.00, had excellent attention to filling drinks and chips.  No loud Mexican music was a plus. For rainy weather on a Sat. night they had a constant flow of folks coming and going. We would go back and eat there again.

We LOVE Mexican food - don't do it - save your time.  It may be the only place around with Mexican food - guess that is how they got to be the best - no competition.  Don't know how you can mess up nachos but they were not good.  Neither were the tacos al carbon.  I'll wait to get Mexican when I get back home next time.  Once was one time too many for me!

Service was a little funny - they didn't seem to really care whether you were there or not. After that, everything was good, good, good. We got there in time for lunch prices, and with two meals, drinks, and a dessert it was less than 20 plus tip for excellent food. It isn't quite authentic (a little tex-mex style) but was definitely worth it. We'll be by again if we're in the area.

My husband had been to this restaurant during a couple of his fly fishing trips. We were in town over the weekend, so decided to have dinner there.

    This place was jam packed.

Chips and salsa: it was okay. Salsa tasted a little watery.

We ordered stuffed jalapenos as appetizers. When it came out, it looked like it came from a ready made frozen box we can buy from grocery stores. Given that all the plates with fresh jalapenos had a real kick in it, which this plate definitely lacked, I think our conclusion was accurate.

I can't recall the name but my husband ordered some sort of a beef dish. It was full of beef and jalapenos, which he enjoyed. I ordered Enchilada Supreme. I don't usually order enchiladas, so I am not sure how it's supposed to taste, but I liked it. It's crust was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The fajita meat inside was not too greasy, but had good flavor.

When it was time to pay for our meal, we were a bit confused. During my husband's prior trips, he paid the checks at the table, but this time around, we were given our check and our server said goodbye. Our server ended up taking our check, but we suspected that we were supposed to take it to the front counter. No such direction was given to us.

Overall, we enjoyed our main dishes. If we are ever this way again, I'm sure we'll come here for a decent meal--especially considering the dining options here.
