Park Hotel

It's a step above camping I suppose. If you just need a roof over your head and hot water to shower, then this is your place, as I'm giving 2 stars for the location and working plumbing. We stayed during the summer but were able to keep cool enough by requesting one of their fans I spotted behind the counter (even after complaining about the A/C they did not offer this so make sure to ask for one!) and by opening the top shutter part of the door that leads to the hall. Doing so I could have an easy conversation with my husband from the hallway to the shower so do expect to hear everything. The ceiling on the 4th floor was leaking into the hall, the only time we saw housekeeping was the day we left though we had been provided an envelope to tip them. Hair dryers are available behind the desk but only blow cold air, and there's a definite lack of wall outlets available. Overall: survivable, but not impressive.

unique space but it was kind of creepy in a good way. the location was great too. You can walk to most places with no problem. We really enjoyed our stay.

2 stars only for the historic building.  Thankfully the temp was cool enough at night we could open the windows to be somewhat comfortable. Old mattress, 19" TV (not flat screen) mounted to wall. NO counter space in bathroom and very few outlets throughout entire room. I read the revies and wanted to like it, but would not stay there again. I know it wouldn't be the Ritz but I've been in Motels that had better furnishings.
