The wings here are a little greasy, but good, and most of their other menu offerings I've tried are decent as well--cheesesteak sub, pretty good calzone, meatball sub, etc. Â The fries aren't hand cut but are always crisp and hot.
Unfortunately, my friend went there on "Wing Wednesday"--August 25th at around 3 pm, and experienced incredibly rude service. Â My family had been going here for 3 years, and were regulars on "Wing Wednesday" when we would get $.40/wing. Â We loved it, it was close to the house, and the staff was always courteous...until this Wednesday. Â My friend stopped in to pick up an order and immediately the female employee (older, skinny, looked like a chain smoker) copped an attitude with my friend for showing up earlier than the wings were finished. Â (he must have arrogantly stepped around the invisible velvet rope at the door) Â When he mentioned that he thought the wings would be cheaper, hence "Wing Wednesday," the rude cashier stated emphatically that never, in the history of Pasta Oven, has there been a "Wing Wednesday"--despite the mysterious fact that "Wing Wednesday" was still on all of the menus. Â Then, when he asked for some blue cheese and was perfectly willing to pay real money for it, her response was a flat, "You didn't ask for that." Â Then stared at him as if she'd issued some epic challenge, and followed up with, "I'm gonna hafta charge you for that." Â O...kay...isn't that how restaurants usually work? Â So, not only was she rude (because I guess it's annoying when people show up and want to give you guys money in exchange for products) but then flat out lied about something printed on your OWN MENU.
I'm from a "big city," so I'm used to having options, but since you're one of only 2 actual restaurants within like a 40 mile radius you may feel like restaurant moguls...but uh, you might want to brush up on your customer service, re-print your out-of-date, stinky paper menus, and fire whoever the hell that was--especially if she owns it. Â You need new management.
But, mm...wings.
