I took out of state relatives and local friends here for dinner. The service was attentive but relaxed and comfortable. The food was beautiful to look at and a pleasure to taste. The portions were perfect. We didn't go away hungry or stuffed. From the garbanzo bean appetizer to the brownie and ice cream dessert the chef worked his magic. Overall it was a delightful and memorable dining experience!

The modern decor was the first thing that caught my eye as I drove past this establishment.  The next time I was in Oroville I stopped in for a pint.

The ambience of this place was relaxed and I like the open concept.  They have a decent beer selection, the bartender hand crafts wonderful cocktails.

The kitchen closes around 9pm so I missed out on trying the food, but in terms of a great local watering hole, This place is spot on.

Great reclaimed building with open floor plan and mod feel. Fission chips and baby back ribs were amazeballs. Crab cakes were small but good or it would be 5 star.

My wife and I went for a Sunday drive, I now who goes  for Sunday drives any more. But we did, we grabbed our passports and left West Kelowna and headed for the USA, well Orville WA to be exact, a little shopping and maybe lunch, possibly sandwiches made at the beach, because really not much in the way of Restaurants in Oroville. Well there is now , the Pastime Bar and Gill is wonderful. This was an old Tavern, now it's a beautiful restaurant, completely renovated with an excellent menu and selection of craft beer, including a local brewery, Alpine Pilsner. We started with deep fried batter garlic scapes, ok I didn't what they were until I saw them dropped at another table, were very good, but the "Taco's by a Gringo" a perfectly seasoned chicken taco  and the Pastime Burger with bacon relish (mmmm bacon!) were both excellent. We'll have make sure our passports don't expire so we can go back.

The food is excellent all around, great selection of bar food and entrees. The bar is friendly, good beers on tap and yummy mixed drinks.  The restaurant side is large and open, it's nice but I would feel welcome to bring my kids here.    There is a patio in the street with tables, a couple of pool tables towards the back and it looks like maybe a patio beyond.

The space itself is simply beautiful, it looks clean and fresh but you can tell the building and space have rich history, the woodwork around the bar is a work of art and the clean exposed brick walls make an incredible backdrop for this bar and grill.
