Cheerful, well kept, clean dining room and a  pleasant staff go a long way when combined with better than average pizza. The regional preference for goey undercooked pizza better eaten with a spoon than a properly folded slice is unavoidable, but if you ask for light cheese and the pie well done or even crisped, it will be as close to a NYC experience as you will find in the area. Only beverages are sodas in bottles or cans, no beer/wine.
