  I give them 2 stars because: they are a well located bar that's stocked fairly well in downtown Aiken.
  
  The ONLY get 2 stars because they are quite possibly the worst martini bar I've ever been in.  Considering their lack of expertise with making martini's - they should just change the name to Pat's Corner Bar or something like that.
  
  I have to admit, I am a bit picky about my martini's and what I like and I got that from my father.  At one time, when my stepson worked there, they did make the best (or 2nd best) martini's in town.  But that was years ago.  Ever since he left, the bartenders have been the type who have to read the instructions when you order a martini...lol.
  
  My last experience there was during my Dad's first visit to Aiken.  Wanting to show him to a martini bar, as he is a big fan of them too, I hoped that they still could make them as good as before.  Bad guess.
  
  We both wanted "007's" - meaning extra dry vodka martini's, shaken vigorously, with olives.  The poor girl behind the bar looked puzzled for a minute, poured about an ounce of sweet vermouth in both our glasses, and looked for the vodka.
  
  As I stared in disbelief, wondering if she even knew to ice the glasses down, or to pour out the excessive amount of wrong vermouth, she then put the vodka in the glasses with the vermouth...and stopped.  She then told us that they were out of olives.  That's right - a martini bar that was OUT OF OLIVES...lol.
  
  When my kid worked there, they had several types of olives, and even had the saltwater olive brine for making the martini's dirty.  Now, they were out of olives (sigh).  Absolutely the worst martini experience ever.
  
  They can make the 'froo-froo' drinks though...Apple-tini's, Cholatini's, Cosmo's, etc.  But unable to make a classic 007.  Sigh...
