a little weird inside, but if you are starving for breakfast as you are heading to or from the races some morning, stop by.  It's in the middle of nowhere, but a nice random find.

Had lunch here.  Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy and Cucumber salad.  The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated not over done but tasteful.  Now for the food.  The Chicken Fried steak was grilled and this is OK except it seemed stringy, the taste was ok.  The Mashed Potatoes were lumpy and not moist and fluffy.  Any cook than can not make mashed potatoes is incompetent.  I would never allow any this this bad to be served.  The Cucumber salad was ok.  I have not eaten anything else here but if you can not make decent mashed potatoes you should not be cooking.  When told about the potatoes the cashier told me that is the way they make the,.  Well OK,  They seemed to have a brisk business of working men eating lunch. Only one woman entered and had a carry out package.  My wife made this observation.  Server was very nice and gave good service.
