Pawnee Family Restaurant

This is a restaurant with an excellent breakfast. They also have a good walleye dinner deal on fridays. The owner and wait staff are very friendly. Any of the other food I have gotten though was just average. I like taking my family to this place because it is fast, friendly and cheap.

I hope you like soup.  They are proud of that soup.  If you decline the soup, the chef will come out and ask why.  

I'm not a local so maybe I don't have an attachment to this place.  We tried it when we first moved here and it was average.  Nothing stood out as spectacular.  We tried breakfast and lunch/dinner food at various times as this is literally one of 2 restaurants in town.  It was just so average.  It wasn't even greasy spoon good.

If you don't live in Pawnee, there is no reason to travel to try this place.  If you happen to be stuck in Pawnee and really need some food, Springfield is a mere 20 miles away.

Given that Pawnee is a bedroom community, we should be happy to have the Family Restaurant to go when we run out of choices in our pantry. The food here is best eaten in-restaurant. Forgo takeout since you might get home will less than you ordered or it will be less than palatable. The dinners are average and the breakfast is also good if you are looking not to cook. I would recommend the Gyro's since they are excellent as long as they give you the cucumber sauce to go on them (they often forget to include it in your order if you do takeout...just beware on that one, check your bag!)
