This place really is an amazing, beyond belief joint. just waiting for some food network show to show up and screw it up for everyone. Â Driving there, the GPS lost where we were several times, through a bunch of different residential areas- houses, and trailers and the such. Anyway, going into the restaurant, the line reminded me of a buffet in Reno. Cool mix of rural Georgia folks in here. You don't see people wearing overalls out in California- not that there is anything wrong with that. They had the biggest selection of seafood I had ever seen. Man, they had so many shrimp. And crab legs. I couldn't eat til like 5 pm the next day. I didn't even touch the meat they had. Man, what a great place. I am just pissed off I only came here once.
Review Source:So there's something to be said about a seafood buffet that's built right next to a small fishing port. Georgia shrimp is really good. Gulf shrimp has nothing on it.
Its a little heavy on the fried side, but not exactly greasy. And the service is excellent. Make sure to wash it down with some sweet tea.
Pelican Point is a hidden jewel tucked in Crescent, GA. Â If you want to hang with the locals, this is the place. Â It is hard to get to, mainly, b/c you go through patches of residential areas that leave you thinking, "Did I make a wrong turn?" Â (There are a few signs along the way.) Â Pelican Point is located along the Sapelo River and there are many shrimps boats docked along the shore. Â They have a fabulous buffet with all you can eat crab legs and prime rib! Â Oh, and everything else in between. Â I think we paid $33-$35 per person for the buffet. Â Well worth every penny. Â On the weekends, get there early because the place fills up fast. Â The dress code is casual. Â If you dress up, they'll immediately flag you as a tourist!
