I have eaten here many times and never had a bad dish. My favorite is the lasagna. I took a friend of mine (a NY Italian) there and he raved about it. The quality of the ingredients comes through in every bite. Broke down and tried the pizza and was not disappointed. The Bubba is a meat lovers dream. Last visit I tried the personal size Stromboli and had to take half of it home it was so much. Highly recommended.
Review Source:After staying at a nearby hotel while traveling we chose Perards as opposed to the fast food joints nearby.  The garlic knots were good, but the calamari had a fishy taste and there were too many over fried tentacle portions.  I had the pasta combo while my wife had the stuffed shells.  Both were covered in mozzarella and  baked.  Both were really good.  Overall Perards is good choice for a meal while passing through.  On a side note.  Dinner prices include a salad.  If you opt out of a salads, they take $2-2.50 off the price.
Review Source:I spent a couple weeks in the Jacksonville area for work and Perard's came highly recommended by the locals. Â I visited three times during my couple weeks in town and had a pleasant experience on each occasion. Â Service was fast and friendly (even when they were pretty busy) . Â Food was all around pretty good. Â The bread knots were great as was the pizza and pasta. Â The wings were ok nothing great, I wouldn't order them again. Â All around Perard's is a pretty solid choice especially in a area littered with fast food and chains. Â Ill be sure to eat there again when I'm back in the area.
Review Source:After reading the rave reviews, I'm hoping this experience was an anomaly. Went for a late lunch, probably 1:30 so maybe everyone was tired after a busy Saturday. Â At any rate, the service was incredibly slow and inept, and the food just run of the mill, garlic knots were so soaked in butter they were practically inedible. Â When asking for ranch on the side, I was told I could order it that way but that's not how I'll get it. Â Pretty pricey for that kind of experience, I was very disappointed.
Review Source:This place was just OK. Â The best part of our meal was the free garlic bread that comes before your meal. Â My husband ordered the sampler that included lasagna, stuffed shells and something else. Â He said it all tasted the same. Â I ordered the calzone which was greasy, my son ordered the meatball sub and my daughter ordered the kids pizza. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer it smelled fishy, tasted awful and my kids took one bite and spit it out.
Review Source:After a second 10 hour day of driving south, we rolled into a nearby Jacksonville hotel ready to relax and eat. We picked Perardi's over Cracker Barrel for a change of pace; had Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Kind of a laid-back sports bar-esque Italian/pizza joint, the place was clean; service was good; the food was decent; and the price was spot on. Not a bad stop for the hungry traveler.
Review Source:WOW!!! Â I was a little skeptical of this place, even with the reviews, but I was blown away. Â I had the Italian sampler which (I got takeout) consisted of a stuffed shell, a portion of lasagna, a meatball all covered with some amazing, well Italian gravy/sauce. Â I was also given a small side salad and I ordered a few garlic knots as I heard they were the bee's knee's. Â OMG...everything was as good or better than I could have expected...I am 1.) stuffed. 2.) contented. 3.) happy beyond words at getting a great meal at great price. Â I am so glad I didn't opt for the pizza, although that may be good also. Â This place makes great italian food...and I can get good pizza elsewhere.
Oh, service was relatively quick too. Â There was a little bit of an issue ordering becasue someone was being trained, but I tell you it was worth it. Â Everytime I am near this place I will be back if I can help it. Â YUM!!!
Went there for dinner this evening, but not pizza. We have been here before but just for pizza with the grand kids, but we were alone tonight, so my wife ordered the baked ziti and I the pasta combo. The service was very good and fast. The food was excellent and plentiful we both took home leftovers. The Marinara sauce was fantastic.
Review Source:The quest for good pizza may be over. This place is a few twists and turns down the road from me and had yelp not existed I wouldn't have found it. We went a little over board this time, testing our "usuals" pepperoni pizza, Italian sub, spinach calzone ( don't knock it till you try it) and a meatball sub. The pizza, I opened the box and I said " looks good" it was good, very good, the sauce was tasty and the dough mmmm the cheese like I like, thick and chewy, I could have used more of that yummy pepperoni though, and it's great breakfast pizza. The calzone was sooo good, I actually tasted the ricotta, it was creamy and tasty, the spinach was a little squishy but still very good (you gotta use frozen spinach to get the right texture) all this needed to blow off the back of my head was a little feta just a little it adds salt and tang. The meatball was good and cheesy seemed like proper meatballs not the frozen crappy ones found elsewhere, the Italian was good but I ate it for breakfast, I'll have to try it fresh before I can judge it. Ultimately this was really freaking good, I was starting to lose hope about finding a decent slice in a 20 mile radius. I will be going back here, oh yes. Side note if you need gluten free deliciousness they have a pie for you. See you soon perard's
Review Source:Since my last review, I've had the occasion to eat here many more times and their homemade sauces and ingredients have made me understand that they really do care back in the kitchen. Not only do they listen to special requests when ordering, but they do it with a smile. And the results is a relaxed neighborhood place for a mixed variety of Italian Cuisines. It almost doesn't fit the West Side but I'm sure glad I don't have to cross the ditch to have exceptional Italian.
The bread knots come plain, buttered and garlic-ed and with icing. You will love them.
