If you know me, you know I spend a TON of time in Texas.
Even though I use Yelp quite a bit to find places to go; I rarely write reviews. After coming here, I definitely wanted to let people know about it.
From the moment you walk in you can tell these people care about making sure you enjoy every aspect of being there. Ashley does a phenomenal job behind the bar!
My 8oz Rib-eye was more like 11 or 12oz. and full of flavor. Vegetable medley was fresh. Combine that with cold beer and it was definitely worth every penny.
Overall.... Great service, friendly people and incredible food!
I can't wait to find my way back there.
I can't give this place more than 3 stars because they allow smoking in their establishment, and I think that shit is nasty. Who wants to eat and inhale smoke? Not I, that's who.
Other than that, this place is, as I rated, A-OK. I've been here multiple times when I go to Texas to visit my family. My Dad is keen on this place because he likes steaks, he likes scotch, he likes that it's pretty close to his house and this place has a check mark in all those spots.
I always get a steak when I go and I pair it with a loaded baked potato and a house salad. I can't complain at all. I like the food.
What I have concluded about The Piano Bar is this. for the location, and the prices, you simply cannot beat it. It's in a podunk town in BFE Texas and they have good food for, well in that neck of the woods, high, but in my standards, cheap, prices. Basically if you're cool with droppin' $25 dollars per person, this place is the shit, but it stinks like smoke.
The name of this place on Yelp needs to be fixed because the name should be "The Piano Bar" instead of "Piano Bar the". Â Anyways, this was a small bar and I guess steakhouse. The interior was dimly lit and there was a piano in the corner.
The day I came here (it was a Tuesday) with my coworkers was the night where the Filet Mignon and T-Bone steak was $5 off. Â I decided to order the Filet Migon ($25 at the normal price) which came with salad and either baked potato, fries, vegetables, or some others I can't remember. Â I also got a Shiner Bock beer.
The salad was nothing special. Â The Filet Mignon was good and I didn't realize there was bacon wrapped around the edge of it. The baked potato was good as well and they brought out the bacon, cheese, and sour cream so you can determine what you want. Â The Shiner Bock was my first Texan beer and it was good. Â The service was great and the waitresses were nice.
This place had that cozy feel to it plus I'm sure that piano isn't just for looks. Good place!
