We had to take our friend Bernice to Pincher's so she could partake of a crab cakes, I didn't mind because I love the butter based crawfish etouffe this place has.  Bernice's crab cake was splendiferous and we all shared an order of hushpuppies....we decimated these in short order.  We also had fun feeding the ducks and geese and turtles and catfish, and visiting with Debbie Radley, the owner.

Stopped by this place because I just wanted to try something different on the way back to Houston from the valley. It was terrible. We sit down order sodas (terrible mistake). i wanted raw oysters and the guy says "sorry it's out of season." Really? Why are so many restaurants serving them then? Liar. I hate liars. Sidenote: drove closer to the city and stopped by Razzoo's for oysters. They had plenty. So then my friend and I decide to get crawfish. Well, he says they only have a mix bucket (shrimp, sausage and crawfish) because they haven't gotten their shipment. He leaves then comes back and says someone ordered the last one. We had to pay 5 bucks for our sodas and just decided to leave. He could have at least given our sodas for free. Lame! Didn't want to be a pain in the ass customer and argue. Oh well. Guess if you have no other choice, it's fine. Can't really review the quality of food. Too bad.

Adorable place! Tons of local flavor. Had gator bits and crawfish potatoes which were quite good. Staff was friendly. The outdoor pond was neat. Also, got some candy from the adjacent shop for the kids. Fun time!

Stopped in for lunch this week. Ordered catfish, slaw, and fries on the lunch menu.  All was very good. The slaw was almost perfect and the fish was light and had a very great taste. Much better food and service than a previous dinner visit. The price is still a bit high for a lunch menu item at $10+ but probably worth it.  Needed a bit more fries for the price.

Some of the best crawfish/shrimp boil I have ever had. The oyster po-boy and gumbo were nothing to rave about, but the gumbo serving was huge and their fries are really good. You can get 1 pound of crawfish, 1/2 pound of large shrimp, corn, red potatoes and about a 1/2 pound of andouille sausage for $18.99. The only thing bad about that deal is that the corn was obviously frozen. Give it a chance, but don't go ordering a salad. Order some crawfish!

Happened to stop here, on one of my drives to Houston, to meet up with some friends for lunch.  The place sits, in plain sight, right off the highway; not a very big place on the inside, but the outside ponds with ducks, geese, etc make an appealing entry.

The service was good; we were taken care of right away.  I was not too enamoured with the bowl o' popcorn for "complimentary munching," but I guess it's a gimmick that serves them well.

I had the catfish plate. My friends had shrimp. All the food came to the table hot, fresh, and good.  Yeah, the bulk of the menu offers fried fare, but the coatings are not heavy, greasy or "off" by any means.  The catfish was pretty okay.

Their prices, however, leave a lot to be desired.  I don't often pay $14 for lunch anywhere.  But, for a nice respite, to break up a long drive, you can count on a good meal at this location.  I may just have to come back and try "alligator" someday......

I am working in the area so I thought I would give this place a try. Pretty solid fried seafood. I had a mixed plate, with fried shrimp and fried oysters. They were both fresh tasting, lightly breaded and not too greasy. They did not overcook the oysters as so many places do. The fries were OK, the cole slaw was a bit too wet and sweet for my taste. The young woman who waited on me did a great job. The prices seemed a little high, but I guess that's to be expected along the highway.
