Absolutely our favorite place in the Poconos. We eat there at least once a week. Family owned, family run and family atmosphere. Hail to new chef Frank for his innovative and magnificent creations. Last night stuffed fresh flounder served with rice was supurb. Â Just noticed on Facebook Chicken Puttanesca tonight. Â Heading over soon.... Â Like them on Facebook to find out about their daily specials and fun activities.
Review Source:We've been here 4 or 5 times since my original review... and this remains my favorite restaurant! Â The food is excellent and consistent. Â What I like is that you can go inexpensive (appetizers, or even the 40 Cent wing night plus sliders= $10) or you can "do it up" with appetizers, prime rib, dessert, drinks...So whatever my money situation at the time, I have a warm, welcoming place to go to that I feel that I got my money's worth. My kids love it also. They can always find something they like on the regular menu, but there is a great kid's menu also. Personally, I don't think there is another restaurant in the area that can rival this one on so many levels for the money.
Review Source:Where shall I begin?  Great ambiance, service was excellent.  Limited but quality menu.  Salad bar was nicely stocked with numerous vegetables, dressing choices and fresh bread.  The shrimp cocktail was fresh and chilled just right as an appetizer.  My dad ate off the regular menu, the skirt steak prepared exactly as he asked, with au jus especially for him and delicious zucchini sautéed in garlic and butter and the mashed potatoes were excellent as well.  I ordered off the nights specials, sirloin and shrimp.  It was excellent, cooked perfectly and the portion was adequate as well.  I highly recommend this place!
Review Source:After waiting over three hours for our reservation on re-launch night (The Restaurant was chosen for an airing of Food Network's Restaurant Impossible), I am sad to say we walked out. Â The over all atmosphere remained nice, but obviously service and kitchen were struggling severely. Â I normally wouldn't leave a review, but I was terribly disappointed that most tables that were seated were friends and family from NY and Long Island. Â If you want to remain in business, and you are truly struggling, then I am sorry, but reservations should be given to those who you would like to return. Â I am not in any rush to go back for this sole reason.
Review Source:What a great place to go to eat. Â The staff does a great job and the environment has that warm cozy feeling that you seek when dining out. Â And the food? Â Even better than I expected!
I was greeted by the new owner, who was sincere about us enjoying every aspect of our experience, and ensured me that the new ownership wouldnt change what makes the Pinehurst great, but only improve on them.
Overall, the Pinehurst has great food, a friendly staff, and fair prices. Â I will def be going back!
This restaurant has just been taken over by a new owner. Me and my family had a great experience and the food was tremendous! I got a prime rib and it was delicious! The decor very much reminds me of home. The owner came around to our table and others and greeted us and made us feel very welcome. He made sure the food was cooked correctly and that everything was to our liking. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning!
