My hubby and kids stopped in today after a day of country road exploring and taking pictures. Â We walked in and it was slow which is what I like. A lil quiet for a bit. =). Anyhow the food here is dynamite! I had the open face roast beef plate. Its on top of Texas toast and brown gravy. To die for! Their french fries are perfect, not over salted nor greasy. My hubby had the hamburger steak with baked potato and loved it. My daughter had a grilled cheese and sweet potato fries and my son had a pizza with hotwings. Everything was fantastic. We did wait a lil while after we ordered but the food made up for that! Everything made fresh. If you want a classic atmosphere and good food while out driving the country roads, stop by this place. We will definately be going back! =)
Review Source:Went to my dad's this weekend and he wanted to take me to Pirate Island. Â Its a super cute place with lots of 50's decor. Â They have a car show every third weekend too. Â We had the daily special for Saturday which was a cheeseburger, fries or chips and a root beer or coke float for 5.99. Â The burger was grea, fries were good(but not very many) Â and the float was really great. Â Its blue bell ice cream and the soda for the float came in glass bottles which was a really nice treat. Â They have a board with weekly lunch specials and they all looked like really good deals. Â
I didnt think the service was that friendly, but my dad says they are very friendly to him when he goes in ( which is all the time!)
