  I've been to The Mound a few times since i moved to North Adams in 2008. The dance floor is non existent although the DJ is usually on point. If your not a regular it's only fun if your already drunk or it's a night all the college kids are there.

  Went to the Pitcher's Mound for the first time last Monday to celebrate a friend's birthday.  We were a little sketched out when we first walked in, dim lighting, not many people there - but its a Monday night in North Adams, so what do you expect?
  
  Our group was the only group of people there, except maybe one or two guys sitting at the bar watching some basketball on tv.  The best part of the bar was Buckhunter (and a basketball shooting game in the corner).  We played Buckhunter for awhile, then moved on to putting some music on the jukebox to start a dance party.  
  
  Drinks were cheap and the bartender was very friendly!
  
  Definitely a great place to go with a group to hang out and make your own fun!!
  
  P.S. I've heard this is the hangout for MCLA students.  They were still on winter break when we went, but I'm sure it gets much more rowdy when they are in town!
