PK's Shamrock Pub

A friend of mine drove me here to meet other friends. He commented that he didn't think there were any bars on this street. Then we pulled up to the Shamrock. Crusty old men standing outside smoking. You sure this is the place? Yup.

The next day my friend asked me how it was. I told him it was exactly what he expected.

Decently priced, strongly poured drinks. Crusty patronage that makes you wish you were showing a little less cleavage.

BUT - it wasn't crowded, it wasn't sceney, it was easy to get onto the pool table, the band that was playing was good, and it would probably be pretty easy to score drugs here.

For that Buffet/shuffleboard/affordable beer move.

PK's, where to begin??  This place is disgusting, imagine the most disgusting bar you have ever been to in the shittiest town you ever visited and when you walk in here you feel strangely transported there(think Roadhouse).

You walk into this poorly lit bar and feel bad about life, but then you begin to realize this is a treasure at the end of the rainbow (poorly executed Irish metaphor, perhaps should have went with lucky charm?), you can pretty much own this place.  It is never busy and has a lot of potential for fun during the m-thurs buffetblackout at 3pm.

My recommendation: Grab some friends, eat the horrible food, drink the cheap beer, play shuffleboard, then wake up at 8pm to get ready for a better bar.
