Really disappointed that this "tap house" only had 2 craft beers on tap. Flying fish hop fish, and franziskaner. Those selections were fine but they could have done without the12 junk beers they had on tap.

Next complaint: it's a smoking establishment.

Lastly: I ordered nachos and they took forever to come out even though it wasn't busy.

I was extremely disappointed with this place. I've read good reviews about it, and I have been really wanting to give it a try. We went there at about 6-7pm on Friday night. The weather was nice so we sat outside on the deck. The waitress seemed overwhelmed even though there were only 2 other tables with people at them. The second we sat down she asked what we wanted to drink. No beer menu (keep in mind they call themselves a tap house). I asked her what they had on tap and she started rattling off a bunch of beers that I'd get at my corner bar (bud, bud light, miller lite, yuengling, etc.). Surely there had to be more beers at a tap house right???? So she got another waiter to help her (I think it was the manager or owner) and he rattled off the same beers, but added blue moon and "dead fish"....which I later found out was flying fish hop fish IPA... So, in my opinion, they should be ashamed to call themselves a tap house...the food was ok. Nothing special, which is fine. only problem I had with it was the burger I had..when I ordered it, they asked how I wanted it cooked...medium please....well, why even ask because it was obviously a frozen patty slapped on a kaiser roll...I'm fine with that, but don't ask how I want it cooked if they all come out well done anyway. Oh, not to mention, after I finished my beer and glass of water, the glasses sat empty on the table for a good 10-15 minutes while the waiter walked past back and forth before I was asked if I wanted another. I wouldn't go here again because the beer selection and service were below average.

I have been to many different states & other countries & I didn't realize that paying $3.50 is a lot for a beer? Pocono Tap house has about 15 or more beer on Tap from Domestic  to Specialty. Their selection is better than your average bar that servers Coors Light. The cost of beer here is comparable to any bar in the Northeast. The only place I know you can get a beer less than $2 is at a VFW or a Social Club like an Italian or Polish club but if you like Specialty beer like I do this is your type of place. The food at Pocono Tap house is good. I like their burgers they are very good. This past summer I frequented this bar alot on my Victory Vegas 8 ball. A great place to stop for a cold one after a nice ride on the bikes.

Whenever we camp at Hickory Run S.P. we always stop in for some post trail beers & shots.  Awesome local hangout that is friendly to visitors, welcomes bikers as well as families; can't get much friendlier than that!  Drinks are very reasonably priced (pint of Sam Adams and a shot of Jamie or Jack only set u back $6-$7).  They've also got a nice pool table, shuffleboard, checkers, a couple video games, jukebox, megatouch, and a pinball machine which is a HUGE plus in my book, read:fun stuff.  They have a couple TVs which usually show whatever sporting event is going on.  They also have a menu and some tables so families or whoever can come and sit down for a meal.  Decor is simple and nice, pretty much what you'd expect from an upstate local hangout.  If you are in the area, I'd say definitely drop in for a refreshment.
