Poor Boys Steak House

The prime rib melts in your mouth! My husband ordered an end cut and the chef was even able to make it medium rare.  The baked sweet potato was done perfectly. The dark rye bread loaf was very good. The cobbler was homemade and a nice end to a wonderful meal.

Great food and service also! Getting to be a rare thing these days.  Poor Boys offers both of these. Proper serving portions, and a rustic atmosphere, make this place a good choice.

This place is a gem. Martha Stewart won't care for the decor, but that's part of the charm.  We ended up going back the next night as the service at the bar was excellent (great combination of attentive yet not hovering) and the food was hearty, well prepared, well presented and timely.  From the fresh baked bread to the 'Bull Fries' to the meatloaf (and of course the steaks with medium-rare spot on) but even the Walleye was cooked to perfection. Great line up of sides, too.

They didn't hesitate to put together a bag lunch on request for the next day's fishing trip and included all the condiments with sauerkraut to go with the hefty stacked corned beef and bacon sandwiches.  

Right off the freeway makes it a perfect stop the next time you are driving through Casper, WY.  You won't find a better steakhouse experience at this price point.
